Reading Cinemas

It is considered a relatively old cinema and needs renovation. But it has an excellent location. Also, the price is considered cheaper than its competitor, the showcase. With all the previous considerations, we would like to give it 5 stars.

Been going to this cinema for over 15 years. Still one of my favourites. The theatre space is nicely done out. You get a very high picture and sound quality. The prices are very reasonable as well and have come down since I’ve been going. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Always answer questions and happy to help. The escalator occasionally breaks which can slight be an inconvenience. The upstairs foyer feels a little worn and is not much of a welcoming space anymore. But you’re not there to hang around in a foyer so it doesn’t bother me too much. Food prices are high but as is expected for most cinemas. Overall a great experience for film lovers.

My mistake! I thought the deluxe seating would extend legs etc like the Showcase Cinema. They don't. So deluxe is simply a good part of the theater. The seats were a bit wider but not £2 worth. Good price for tix tho. Restrooms clean. Mostly all good!

Cheap tickets, Clean, Comfy seats. Easy to book seats and pay via website and then just scan tickets when you are ready to go into the cinema. Can bring your own foods and drinks in except Alcohol, Hot drinks and foods only hot drinks and food that are sold on the premises can be taken into the cinema due to insurance policies.

Cheap tickets, clean facility. The seats are okay, for the price. Staff is friendly. I keep coming back to watch movies. Would recommend buying tickets online. Very easy to do so.

Good cinema in the city centre. The location is great. The price is good. During most recent visits, toilets were out of order, and bins were full up, but it was a late movie on bank holiday, so not a surprise.

My first visit to Vue tonight and I was not impressed. On the way up first escalator not working, struggled up with bum knee. No assistance to find the right screen. Needed the loo after sitting for 3 hours..ladies loo out of order, went to disabled toilet... bin was overflowing with rubbish, water on the floor, disgusting. On the way out the escalator was turned off..got to the bottom only to find it was cordoned off for cleaning. PUT THE SIGN AT THE TOP!

Very reasonable ticket price but problem is they won't release Telugu language movies here. It's best to watch Telugu movies when ever get released. The environment is very nice and it is located in heart of the Town Center. The environment is clean and sound system also good.

Strange place. Cant help but feel that these multiplex cinemas are the next target for apartment conversion. We saw the live stream of La Boheme which was wonderful, cant have been more than a dozen people, and the foyers were empty. Glimpsed about two or three live staff. Sad and empty.
