Rawhiti Golf Club

Wide open fairways, few trees and tiny greens make this a joy and a challenge to play. We played it after some rain, course held up well while others closed. Got new bathrooms dotted around but bring your own water... The taps seem to taste of pine.... Otherwise a expansive long course.

Great place to go as part of a stag do or other party as that seems to be the atmosphere there.Can have groups as large as 12 playing together.They even have a golfball shop located on #3 where you could possible have a hoon on the glue bag for a small donation to.If you like minigolf, then the rubbish on the fairways make for great obstacles.If you arnt serious about golf as a hobbie, then this is the best place to be.nMake sure your voice is loud to shout out 4, as the course is also open to walkers coming out of the trees.They may have a connection with the golf ball shop owner

Quite possibly the most friendly club in the land and one of the few in Christchurch that is open for green fee play on a Saturday morning! I was welcomed with open arms by long time members Paul, Mata and Stau who were all very handy golfers. Proshop lady was super friendly and overall it was a fun morning. Make sure you buy some secondhand golf balls from the dude who has a stall on the 9th hole. I was lucky enough to be shouted a few balls by my kind hosts! Only detraction was the group of 5 ahead of us holding up play for the entire course. Apparently they do this every weekend as are ‘above the rules‘.

Club has cheap drinks, and cheap eats. Members welcome new people. Day time family atmosphere. Reasonable prices for golf. Not flashy but very charming.

Great golf course for the cost. Also helps that their club day is not on a Saturday like most other clubs.nnEnjoyed the round, although only complaint is related to the green upkeep. Some of the greens were not maintained well to the point of not being able to see where the fairway finished and green started.nnOverall a good time, would go again
