Awesome track to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city.nThe bottom end of the loop to the top ridge is about 35minutes for moderate fitness level and its less maintained than the end of Rata st end. The Rata st end is about 25 minutes and a well maintained track.nYou can go along the top ridge aswell.
The track was okay, will be good to do in sunny days. I went after a rainy day which made it wet and slippery. The track is yet to be developed into a proper walk. so, you may encounter few tricky places to navigate through.
Always a great lil walk, the stream crossings are easy and the track is a great mix of bush ramble and established path. Can be slippery after big rainfall but makes it more fun!
Beautiful tracknDon't believe the people who said it's not suitable for kids. 6YO had no issues and loved all the crossings. 4YO needed some help but managed and as an adult was easy with the 3rd in a frontpack.nIt is a beginner tramp, I think the others were expecting a beginner bush walk
I really enjoyed this walk! There were just a few problems, the path itself was a bit tricky to find, even as I was looking at a map, as the signage is quite hidden.nThere were a couple of moments that I wondered if I was even on the track anymore as there was no signage and parts are quite overgrown and you have to cross a lot of streams. Wouldn't be great for small children or if you're just wanting a leisurely walk. Had to take a few guesses what directions to take when the path forked as there weren't any signs to indicate where they led.nApart from that there were beautiful views and it was well shaded most of the walk so good for hot days
