This is the top of the ridge above Eastbourne where the Kaeaea Track, Muritai Track, McKenzie Road Track and Butterfly Creek Tracks meet. There is a view point here called the Eastbourne view point and there is a large sign with some information about the area and local flora and fauna. Nice spot to go for a walk and enjoy the view of Wellington Harbour.
Sooo many rifleman birds! I must have seen 20 in one day and heard dozens more. That 1080 must have really worked a treat! The summit track is beautiful and has a variety of forest types.
There is amazing view from this summit!
So many beautiful views along the track, not just the lookout. I love it. My new Eastbourne favourite!
It's pretty easy to reach this summit with nice view and fresh air.
