Ramada Suites by Wyndham Auckland Manukau Pacfic Centre

We loved this Ramada hotel! We stayed 9 nights in April 2025 and it was excellent! Our studio had a modern kitchenette stove, pots, pans, dishes, big refrigerator, large microwave, dishwasher with detergent provided and a washer/dryer in the bathroom, and it was our home away from home! The bed very clean and comfy. The free breakfast is abundant and delicious, the parking is huge and free, and the staff is so kind and helpful! Only wish there were windows you could open and close in the room there are floor-to-ceiling windows, otherwise it was perfect. Highly recommend!

Ramada Hotel Manukau – Unprofessional Staff, Misleading Information, Poor Customer Service, and Rude BehaviornnWe arrived at Ramada Hotel Manukau around 11 AM, hoping for an early check-in, but the reception experience was disappointing from the start. The first staff member was unfriendly, didn’t greet us, and gave no helpful information about early check-in — simply stating “check-in is at 2 PM” and asking us to come back later without any apology or assistance.nnWe left and returned in the evening, where a different staff member handled our check-in. Unfortunately, this second staff member was also rude and unprofessional. Initially, we were told by the first staff member that only a $100 bond was needed. However, the second staff member demanded both a $100 bond and additional credit card details.nnWhen I explained that we had already paid online and our credit card details were on file, he became argumentative, made faces, and clearly showed he was upset and unhappy to serve us. Reception staff should be welcoming and happy to assist guests, but instead, they made us feel pushed and unwelcome, as if they were not happy to serve us. This rude and impatient behavior made the entire experience stressful.nnFinally, we got a room, but it was disappointing as well. There was a big, long black iron rod next to the window that made the room feel uninviting. Overall, we did not like the room at all.nnOn checkout day, we arrived at reception at 7 AM, ready to leave early, but no staff was present to assist us or return our bond. We had to wait until 8 AM when someone finally arrived, which delayed our departure. When asked about the reception hours, staff told us they were from 8 AM to 6 PM — contradicting the posted 7 AM to 10 PM schedule.nnAfter 8 AM, the staff returned but told us the computer was slow and we had to wait longer. Then, after about 5 minutes, he said we needed to wait until he confirmed a call from another staff member before proceeding.nnDuring this time, the staff was extremely rude, telling us we were ridiculous and continuously arguing instead of listening to our concerns.nnWe called customer service to raise our concerns. I explained everything during the call, and the representative promised to speak to his supervisor and help. However, he later said he couldn’t assist, so we still had to wait until 8 AM.nnI told him that as per the law, a business should provide clear and accurate information, but this hotel provided misleading information and treated us unfairly.nnBecause of this entire experience, we left unhappy and disappointed, and I will never stay at Ramada Hotel Manukau again.

Staff was very Rude and not friendly at all. Even their manager had an unusual attitude towards us and and was talking very rudely even when we were being polite and friendly. Not sure how they choose their staff but definitely need to change them. Stayed in NZ for a week in multiple hotels and loved it but this was our last stay in NZ which ruined the whole thing. Room was so tiny that you can barely walk around the bed and good luck with packing/unpacking your suitcase. There were beer bottles and other rubbish near the edge of the the bed under the bed which noticed late as we did late checkin so couldn't complain as their staff only stays till 8:15PM.nnOnly thing we liked is the location as it is close to the airport as we had flight the next day.

Hotel is not bad, check was fast and the room was tidy and reasonably well appointednThe restaurant downstairs though was another matter.nI ordered fish and chips I have been in NZ for 3 weeks and have had GREAT fish and was served what was frozen fish. It wasn't the worst I have had in my 70 years but it was close and it was rubbish

The customer service at the reception was bad, not very nice and they could smile more. The room was basic and disappointing with a huge black pole going across the window-side of the room. The tap in the bathroom sink was broken, easy to rip off, the shower head/pole was also abit broken, the water jug in the fridge had no water in it. The bed had very thin sheets/duvet cover and I was freezing all night/morning, no extra blankets in the room. There was 2 very small bath towels in the bathroom, no hand towels and when I asked for an extra 2 towels at reception, she said house keeping had finished for the day? That shouldn't matter because there should always be access to more towels for paying guests especially when the ones in the room were so small, built for small sized people. THEN top it off we had to pay extra for cleaning fees because there was a stain on one of the sheets, and they did not want to take it out of our bond, so what is the point of paying for a bond? I am sure the hotel should have good cleaning products to get a small stain out of their white sheets, otherwise put black bedding instead of white... Overall stay was below standard, will not be returning, only good thing is that it was close to shops.
