You have to drive around the back of the hotel and haul your luggage up a big staircase to the area where you check-in, which is not obvious where to go, it is not well marked. Every other hotel I have stayed at, you drive up to the front and there is room to park your vehicle so you can easily unload your luggage. We ended up with the smallest hotel room I have ever seen and part of the structure of the building was sticking out of the wall, like big metal poles. It was really dinky and over priced. This was our first hotel room on our holiday in New Zealand and it was late at night, so we had to accept the conditions. It was one of the worst hotels we stayed in our trip. I would never stay there again.

We stayed here for 1 night before we flew on to Sydney.nWe were quite impressed by how nice the rooms were and the facilities. Having been travelling it was great to be able to freshen up clothes using the in room laundry facility.nBreakfast was included with our stay, the food was ok with a few choices of cereal, hot, pastries etc.nThe hotel is situated just off a busy road, next to a stadium. It is only about 10-15 minute's walk we weren't in a car from quite a decent shopping centre which we took advantage off.nWe got a taxi to the airport which cost around 60 NZ dollars Mar 2024. Not sure if there was a local bus.nAll in all great for a stopover before flying.

Good price and location, but fairly small basic rooms. Can’t open any windows even partially. Tight access TV at base of bed and bathroom door in front of toilet would have been a better experience if reception gave more details upon arrival.

I stayed at this Hotel around 9 months ago on arriving I found the staff friendly at arrival, I did ask if there were any emergency housing people in hotel receptionist smiled nicely and said no we don't which later on I found out that was a lie. Room was average windows were filthy with marks stale smell in room and shower wasn't clean had a lot of black stain on floor. During my 2 nights there I heard homeless people going up and down on lift and through corridors all night no night staff on to inform them. By the 3rd day I asked for refund explaining my lack of sleep noise all night homeless going outside to smoke drugs and so on. Manager was not happy with my response and I found out they had taken 2x payments out for 3 days out of my bank I never got that back till like 6 weeks I booked myself out went to a beautiful cleaner motel please be aware it's your money.nUnhappy whanau Rotorua

I would say this is between a 3 to 3.5 star hotel. Very disappointed that room has no desk and chair to be able to work at. Overall the room is quite average.nBut reception staff were great, breakfast was fine, not very extensive in choices. But ok.
