A bit of a mixed experience. My mum ordered the hash stack and it was great. I ordered eggs benedict & a chai latte. The latte was very watery and bland unfortunately. My eggs also came out too undercooked partly raw so I asked them to cook it more but then that meant my food ended up being overcooked. The food is very well priced and the vibe of the place is great.
Enjoyed the surrounding and style. Felt like I was at Grandparents home for breakfast . Good food.
Eclectic atmosphere in this quiet hangout just beyond the central business district of Wellington. I ordered the eggs Benedict with ham. Very good but read the menu wrong and thought it came with hash browns. Instead the eggs are served ON hash browns instead of a crumpet or English muffin.
I am a fiend for creamy mushrooms on toast and these guys served up one of the best I've had. Please never remove it from the menu. Only things that could've been better were that the food took a bit too long 20+ minutes to come out for 2 people on a Thursday mid morning, and also the poached eggs which I added on to my dish were a little bit overcooked. Nevertheless I will for sure be back for the mushrooms.
Gorgeous atmosphere with eclectic decor. Always something new to notice. Very nice food with decent portions for the price. The staff was all friendly and approachable
Very lovely cafe with retro decor and a relaxing environment. Flat white is smooth and strong and the brunch offerings are delicious. Highly recommended!
Friendly staff and great food in a really comfy feeling room. The cannery breakfast has to be one of the best big breakfasts in all of Aotearoa, served with great Turkish bread. Strangely no payWave or ApplePay, just old school EFTPOS inserted or swiped. And possibly cash, whatever that is.
I was tempted by the great reviews and headed to the Preservatorium for a late brunch. A good range of options looked promising so I went for the veggie breakfast, sans mushrooms. I was really hoping that their hash special promised a homemade hash brown - unfortunately this turned out to be a generic pre-made hb. Hopes dashed. The beans were great and flavourful but the rest of the plate was fairly standard stuff. Two other negatives: they added mushrooms bleck which meant I had to send the first plate back, and they didn’t have paywave so I had to do an awkward bank transfer to pay for it.
I love the atmosphere here. The decoration is beautiful. $6 for a mocha and a warm chocolate muffin in Sat morning. Sweet!
Great casual ambience. Plenty of seating options. Food is cafe typical and everything was perfectly cooked. Great coffee and friendly staff.
