Partner and I came for lunch today after hearing amazing reviews!nService was good, very nice and efficient!nThe Chilli Squid starter was pretty good, however it did lack flavour and would be better with an actual dipping sauce instead of an oil.nSalmon Poke bowl had very little flavour, salmon was bland even with the sauce they put on top, having such a small portion of salmon overall and the lack of any flavour was pretty disappointed for the price.nWe didn’t know the Fisherman’s Friend was an open sandwich as that isn’t stated anywhere, however it was still good, had good flavour and good bread choice!nChips were cooked well but probably needed a dipping sauce too due to lack of seasoning!nOverall it was okay, lunch wasn’t too bad but quite overpriced for the quality of the dishes
I read abt the seafood chowder and i came for it.nFlavour wise: quite good. Creamy and thick. Loads of ingredients, esp that nice smoked salmon piece. Yums.. Just slightly over-salted for me.nnI also had the squid as side, as recommended by the boss.nNot too bad! Well seasoned and not over-fried. It would have been better if the squid had a firmer texture.. a bite to it.nnService: the bossman was great. Nice guy, very friendly and all smiles.. the server well.. she's okie. Just didnt appreciate that she kinda 'dumped' the food on the table. Felt it was abit performatory. Butttt i suppose i could let it slide..nnAtmosphere: quite good. Good crowd. Everyone's enjoying their time here. Lively. Great.
Nice looking place, great view, good atmosphere. Meals are well presented, but missing that final touch from the good chief to make it 5
This place offers perfect Caroline bay views, delicious meals, and drinks. I visited for brunch, and especially the egg Benedict was really good. The beer tastes great, too. I recommend this place!
Where do I even begin, happen to stumble across this amazing place while on holidays, the staff were so very lovely and the coffee was fantastic, the choc caramel slice was amazing just something else And the cheese scone was perfect also. Nothing to fault here and highly recommend! Will definitely be coming back here when we are back.
