Patagonia Chocolates

The treats here are delectable to look at! While I love dark chocolate, dairy is usually an issue for me. I enjoy coming here so my son can have his ice cream while I treat myself to a delicious dairy-free cappuccino. The atmosphere and service are fantastic—highly recommended if you’re in Wanaka!

Drawn to this after seeing a couple of folks walking past us with ice cream yesterday, and thought to plan this into our trip for today - and felt like it was a decent treat.nn opted for the chocolate sorbet at first, but added the patagonia chocolate after seeing it when we are headed to pay - which i slightly regret since the sorbet was better than their own branded one, since we enjoyed the darker tone, rather than a milky and creamy one.nnThe cone on the other hand wasn’t great at all, no flavours and was a little waste of calories unfortunately. The only saving grace was really the chocolate sorbet, and maybe that it was a huge scoop as well, else it would have been just 3 stars since it was a pricey cone at 13.50NZD.

We were told that the hot chocolate was a must try when in Wanaka, and after a long drive and the rainy weather we were so keen! Unfortunately, the hot chocolate traditional was bitter and watery, and tasted much like a simple home made with supermarket mix. Don’t recommend.

Stopped in for a scoop of gelato and a few churros. The gelato was great. The ice cream cone was not. The churros were inedible. Very overcooked and had little sugar. The fact that these were passable out of the kitchen surprised me.

Great fresh ice creams with interesting flavours , we went for hazelnut and cheese and berries which turned out to be an excellent combination
