Pappadomz

After hearing so many good reviews, I was excited to dine in pappadomz. But, it turned out to be a below average experience. Things I liked about pappadomz was the hospitality provided by the staff, ambience of the restaurant and presentation of the food. However, the taste of the the food was not up to our expectation. Our orders were 1 chicken 65 Presentation was outstanding, but needed some more salt. The sauce came with chicken 65 was yummy 2 chicken lollipop Presentation was good, an usual Chinese style sauce mixed lollipop. Taste was okay 3 & 4 Masala Dosa and Ghee Roast. Both tastes very bad, Batter tastes sour and the side dishes such as sambar and chutney were horrible. 5 Parotta and Beef Roast peralan Parotta was soft and crispy loved it but beef is no where near to the real taste of kerala beef roast. Things we don't like were, No proper car park and taste of the Food. Finally my 37 weeks pregnant wife was very unhappy about the taste of masala dosa and Ghee roast. I chose pappadomz becuse she was craving for masala dosa and ghee roast for very long time. For us it's the first and last visit to that resturant. Felt that it's over rated and it is no where near to the real taste of kerala food. Anyways, each person's taste and perception differs. So, others might like the taste. Just sharing our experience. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are available but we had a very bad experience. So personally don't recommend. Parking: No proper parking available for resturant need to use the street parking . We were fortunate enough to a get a 2 hours free parking after long wait.

My friends suggested this restaurant to me as they went in there in the previous weekend and they all liked it very much. So we drove all the way from Auckland to Hamilton yesterday just to experience their food. The staff are welcoming and friendly, The food is so delicious, presented well in nice ambience. We ordered many dishes; though Chicken biriyani, Chicken 65, Fish pollichathu and Beef Mappas are my favorites. . They also have a seperate section just for desserts. I highly recommend this place to those who love authentic South Indian Food.

Probably one of the best Indian restaurants in New Zealand. Tried a few Kerala South Indian dishes and all were delicious and of good quality. They have an amazing ambience and must visit if you are in Hamilton.

Great place to Hang out with friends and family.. Beautifully decorated interior with friendly staff and good food options. The Movenpick ice cream counter makes it even better.

I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!!! By far our favourite place to eat Kerala food. I would and have actually driven all the way from Auckland to eat their food We had the kothu porotta, fish pollichathu, kallappam, biriyani and chicken 65. Everything was excellent and with the right amount of spice. More than everything else, the staff here takes the prize as they are so so wonderful and make the experience of dining there the best! You will definitely walk out of this place a happy and fulfilled customer Might I also add, they were kind enough to give me a small cake knowing that it was birthday. A lovely surprise indeed!

The greatest Indian restaurant in town, amazing taste, quality and ambience. Its perfect for ay occasion. They also have Mövenpick ice cream which completes your dining experience. I'll be frequenting this place

Stumbled upon this place for dinner after looking on google maps . The food was delicious and the service was great. My wife originally from kochi really enjoyed the food here. Would definitely recommend

A well-versed menu with plenty of options for all dietary types. The staff were very friendly and went above, and beyond, to make sure everything was to your liking. The spice level requested for your dish was matched perfectly, and even the waiter to reviewed to ensure everything was just right spice wise. Only criticism was the after dinner coffee was a bit underwhelming. The restaurant definitely had a sense of class about itself, but without being pretentious. Nice place for a quick, easy meal.
