PAK'nSAVE Sylvia Park

Huge store. Prices seemed decent, but I think you have to sign up or something to get the advertised price. I bought two glass bottle energy drinks because tag said 1.80, but they rang up 3.60. Didn’t both with telling anyone, but was a little annoying.

I would highly recommend Pack and Save Sylvia Park to anyone looking for a great place to shop for groceries. The prices are reasonable, the selection is wide, and the staff is friendly and helpful.nnHere are some additional reasons why I like shopping at Pack and Save Sylvia Park:nnThe store is clean and well-organized.nnThere is plenty of parking.nnThe store is conveniently located

You sell a good range of hot pies, sausage rolls and other ready-to-eat items, but no longer supply the foil bags to keep the item warm while the customer continues their shopping.nSeriously, why??nIf you feel you need to charge, say, 10 cents per bag, to recoup some margin, do it! At least the customer would have a choice.

This supermarket is definitely the one where people in the area can buy things cheaper than the others. However, customers need to check their bills carefully as the marked prices could be different to what they pay for, as they don't make such changes on time. Also, it looks they are making more profit on some items based on their pricing than the actual quantity involved. For example, they are selling three piece chicken thighs for $3.00, where as the weight of the packet normally ranges between 350 g to 500g . So, they make people to use their calculators to check whether they are actually buying something cheap! Food items like pork and fish have been kept highly priced for quite some time now. Maybe, it could be out of their control but they could consider helping the customers by selling essential commodities within reasonable limits.4

While using self-checkout at this store, I accidentally left something behind. A female staff member kindly retrieved it for me, making me feel welcomed and appreciated as a visitor to the area. This act of kindness enhanced my experience during my work trip to Auckland. My heartfelt thanks go out to her for her assistance between 1pm and 1:30pm on March 11th, 2024.
