PAK'nSAVE Mt Albert

Good supermarket with good prices but the checkout is VERY slow and often blocks half of the freezer section. The checkout worker either scans, weighs or codes every item and then stacks it Tetris style into the trolly, while nice, is really inefficient and causes a big wait even when slightly busy. It would be better if items were scanned then pushed down to an area for people to pack their own trolleys as done elsewhere especially as everyone just walks out and unpacks it straight away.

A filthy chaotic shambles, never enough checkouts and unhelpful moronic employees. Don't bother wasting your time with 'Click & Collect' its a frustrating gamble. Stock levels on the app are fictional, again EVERY SINGLE vegetarian item not provided, making the whole process worthless, another trip to a reputable supermarket in order to eat for the week. In short, filthy & unorganised and a good reminder of everything wrong with the supermarket duopoly. The owner, Foodstuff and employees should be ashamed of this place!

This was after a period of absence I went to the store. I noticed a complete make over inside. There was more space created with generous space between aisles. Not much clutter, more organised easy to find items. The short cuts to different sections makes alot if difference to shopping time. Only issue the floor seemed slippery increases falls risk.

Can you tell checkout to stop mangling my stuff when placing to the cart... always ends up ripped and bruised and my cart's not even full like pls be more careful with my fruits you don't have to slam it into the cart

The Pak’nSave in Mount Albert has undergone significant interior renovations, greatly improving the shopping experience. Previously, it was almost impossible to navigate inside, but they’ve now reorganized the aisles and installed new cold display cabinets and chill racks for milk. Thankfully, the area is now more accessible; it used to feel like walking in the Arctic. The store now looks better and can accommodate more customers.
