The veiw very nice. Auckland's newest boutique urban village shopping center for everyone to come and eat, drink, and shop. Located next to Orakei train station in Orakei, Auckland.
The food itself is good. Solid at least a 7/10. The service is bad, they are trying but they need better training and more staff. The wait time was almost an hr although we were booked and on time. The menus are nasty, torn and dirty. The mood lighting is nice but too dark at each table. Individual table lighting is needed. My dad who is in his 60s and wears glasses really struggled to read the menu and even see his food. The seats are also quite hard and uncomfortable. The main problem is really the wait time.
Relatively busy in the weekend. Got seated at the furthest corner of the restaurant. Service was decent and food was decent.
A really lovely combination of businesses and super close to the basin walkway! Love to grab a smoothie bowl and then go for a walk afterwards on a good day. Parking can be really hard though so plan to frustrated by that. It is also a very busy road so best to be cautious. I usually prefer to take my bike if I can just to avoid the headache. Another good option is to take the train since it is very close to a station.
There are quite a few food outlets here including Ampersand, Brothers Beer and Saku Saku. There are a few spots in the front area but it is usually full.nWe stopped by for lunch at Ampersand and took a look around since we were here. There are a few shops around as well as a Farro supermarket. It's not very big but does have quite a few options for either eating or shopping.
