Olaf's Artisan Bakery Cafe is a solid choice for a quick and tasty meal. Overall the food was good, although the portions were on the smaller side for the price. As a bakery, I was also a bit disappointed that the meals didn't include more bread. However, these minor issues were easily overlooked due to the overall high quality of the meal. I tried the Gourmet Breakfast and paired it with an oat flat white, both of which were very tasty. The oat flat white, in particular, was creamy and smooth. While Olaf's may not offer the best value for money, the quality of the food and drinks more than make up for it. I would definitely recommend giving this bakery cafe a try and look forward to returning in the future.
Had the eggs benedict with spinach from the menu. Very nice food presentation but unfortunately taste was quite average had to put on heaps of salt and portion was rather small for the price which was a bit disappointing. Flat White with Coffee Supreme was delicious though, and service was friendly and quick. Also had the rosemary scone and the fig and fennel bread takeaway. Both were super yum.
Great coffee and muffin coupled with warm service from wait staff! Huge selection of bread and cabinet food with reasonable :Food: 5/5
Everything was awesome. Truffled mushrooms were amazing. I’ll be back for more!
Olafs used to be good. I just paid $27.90 for two danishes and two “regular size” flat whites. The cups are kids size I added a lighter in photo for reference. Never, ever again.
Worst hot chocolate ever, it looked and tasted like hot milk. The coffee was also mediocre, but the salmon bagel was good, although it did seem a bit unnecessary to have to assemble it yourself.
Amazing service, food & coffee arrived at the same time, the breakfast was delicious. We have ordered breakfast gourment and halloumi & zucchini fritters!
Had an oat flat white & bought one of the pane loaves - both were fantastic! The coffee bean had a nice bitter turn and the oat milk used tasted really high quality. Service was fantastic even on a really busy day - our server helped us pick a tasty loaf that we were happy with. Only downsides were that it was a bit busy but that's just the sign of a popular joint! We got takeaway so we weren't too phased here. It also came to ~$7 for a large flat white with oat milk which is definitely on the more expensive side but in my opinion it's one of the best coffees I've had in Auckland. Dietary restrictions: Tasty oat and almond milk options. A little exy coming it at ~$1 add ons I think?
Busy spot on a Saturday morning but worth the effort. Service was good and we didn't have to wait long for our meals or coffee. Bit of a diy assembly job for the smelt bagel but that's no biggie. Our group of four were all pleased with meals.
Not the best portions for price. The atmosphere was nice. And they’re obviously amazing with their cabinet pastries and breads. But to eat from the menu ? Not worth it. We got a gourmet breakfast and pancakes along with smoothies. Smoothies were fine. Nothing special but a smoothie is a smoothie. The big breakfast wasn’t that amazing- it was tasty- overall though it seemed a bit over priced compared to others we’ve been to. But it’s the pancakes. I was a little shocked. I’m talking a dollop of mascarpone, two small strands of candied orange, syrup cup, and blueberry compote with it. And about 5-6 super mini pancakes in a tower on a skewer. They were roughly 80 millimeter diameter. Overall 3 stars. Mainly for the fact it was tasty. But not the best for cost. If you want to stop by for pasties, their lovely sourdough and coffees- fantastic! Just be careful not to be disappointed if your dine in experience is a little underwhelming.
