Altar Cafe is a beautifully restored villa located on the outskirts of Mt Eden village. Named after the 300 year old Spanish altar that graces the main dining area, Altar Cafe was named one of Auckland's top 50 cafes by Metro magazine in 2009.
We are open 7 days for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our specialities include tapas, slow roasted duck, pork belly with scallops and Eggs Benedict. We are fully licensed and have a wide selection of beers and wines available.
Our coffee is only $3 before 11 a.m. every day, but don't be fooled by the price: it's still top quality coffee made by trained baristas!
