Atomic Coffee Roasters

They nailed the coffee which is no surprise, but I was delighted by the special roast, with flavour notes you could actually taste. Staff are always friendly, even hooking up my four legged friend with a treat. Highly recommend the breaky sandwich too, possibly one of the best I’ve had which is a large pool to rank high in. Wish this was my local as I’d be here everyday.

I've been wanting to come to Atomic Coffee Roasters for ages, but it is so out of the way for me. I decided today is the day I'm going to make a special trip out there, and unfortunately I was disappointed.nnThe staff are very friendly and attentive. One brought me water without asking, and I so appreciated that. Their cinnamon scroll was very good!nnThe main problem is that the place is filled with people on their laptops. You just hear people feverishly typing and making multiple phone calls discussing business deals. You immediately feel the stress and tension when you walk in. There is no laid back atmosphere, or carefree chatter. It is just people hunched over their laptops. They have taken up all the comfortable seating along the outer walls and all that is left is some sort of wooden stool that is too low for me, and some bench along the window with bar stools that is too high for me. As an older, overweight person with bad knees, those were awful options. I stood around wondering if I should cancel my order, when a table cleared up.nnThe tables are very close to each other and I bumped the bloke on the laptop getting in. He looked at me like I just caused his entire stock to crash or something. When I got out I pushed the table completely forward to get out.nnIt has the potential to be an awesome place. I had the coffee flight, which is a tasting platter of their best coffees. It is such a niche offering, especially for people who love coffee, but their clientele made it awkward, uncomfortable, and very stressful. No chatting or laughing, only business and clickety clacking on the laptops.

We chose this café for brunch because of its beautiful space and premium vibe, but unfortunately our experience fell short.nOne of the dishes with poached eggs contained eggshells, which was uncomfortable. We also ordered a tea with lemon, but the lemon still had the sticker on it, which melted in the hot tea. Additionally, the water glasses we were given were dirty.nCombined with not very attentive customer service, it made it difficult to fully enjoy our brunch. The café has great potential, and I hope this feedback is helpful for improvement, as attention to small details really matters in a place like this.

Love their coffee beans, and I buy them regularly. Stopped by for a meal today. Was really impressed with their customer service! The staff was kind, friendly, and super attentive. Keen to go back soon!

Food was lovely. Good vegan selections and coffee was nice. Staff were extra friendly, they could tell we had just landed in NZ and were in need of caffeine and food.
