Atomic Coffee Roasters

Excellent code I have to say their coffee is amongst one of the nicest in Auckland and they have a dedicated roastery section visible from the cafe which is cool. Sadly I went during a busy time and the food took longer than usual but portion was very generous. Got a free coffee from buying the beans so was very happy.

Pretty good experience actually in a vibrant Kingsland cafe.nHowever 1x small slice of sourdough was definitely not enough, so feel a little cheated.n1x egg per slice of toast should be minimum.n*refer to photos.nMy partner really enjoyed her meal and the coffee was beaut.

Saturday lunchtime havent been to Atomic for a long time, so looking forward to it. Ordered for my husband and myself he had the chili scrambled eggs, I had the roast? beetroot panini toasted, side of hash, and lemon tart to share. Also had a soft drink. The server at the counter seemed flustered but wasnt a major. No numbers for tables, ok, went back and waited. Eggs came out first and in good time, Husband started eating, so he was happy. nothing for the next 20min, asked a server if it would be long panini came out of the cabinet as did the tart, wont be too long apologies, no problem, 5min later panini came out see photo, was a lot of beetroot and not much more, not much flavor and quite underwhelming, not roasted im sure it said that on the sign, I was hungry...no hash, asked another server, wont be long, came out 5min later, super greasy, couple minutes later the tart, then my soft drink. No number on the table to see that something needs to come out still? Over all it took 30min from the eggs arriving to my drink arriving. Im not one for writing heaps, but id like to explain the low stars. Its a rare day when I dont have a great cafe experience but this was the day. I dont know what happened last Saturday with all the moving parts but it was a bummer. Time for a team bonding perhaps, get some engagement going. Would like to come back in recognition of all those high star reviews and see what all the hypes about for one of Auckland's long standing institutions, last week wasnt it. Sorry

Brought my in laws here just to enjoy the coffee. Staff were friendly as usual and service was very good. Unfortunately we found our coffees to be not very hot which is a shame at $6.50 each. Large doesn’t seem so large anymore anywhere either. Won’t stop me from coming back though as it’s a great spot.

We came here on recommendation from a family member and so glad we did. The service was fantastic and we were made to feel so welcome from the moment we stepped through the door.nnCoffees were large and strong. They roast their own beans, so I bought some to take home and enjoy.nnThe food was delicious we had the homemade corned beef hash and they very kindly spread it over two plates as were sharing.nnIt’s clearly a popular choice with locals as it was fairly busy and there was a lovely buzz in the air.nnI’d definitely come back here and would highly recommend to anyone in the area.
