The Garden Shed

The Garden Shed is a fantastic venue for your next event.nI recently hosted a birthday for a friend - in the garden area out the back.nThe venue is gorgeous, with plenty of space, and an enchanting atmosphere. It was not damp and was completely bug free.nPortion sizes are large, between a group of 12 we shared about 5 meals, including the farmers and garden board platters.nThe food was flavoursome and of high quality - I cannot recommend their terracotta bread enough - fresh baked in house in a cute little flower pot.nIf you enjoy ambient lighting, fantastic food, and eating your dinner amongst a garden - I highly recommend planning a visit.

Love the food atmosphere. Super valuable with The First Table coupons. Services was fine but a bit shocked when they told me if I want to have my Birthday Cake there, it’s gonna be $20 surcharge. First time ever in Auckland .

Lovely spot with lots of plants—really nice environment! Service was great. The prawn pasta was a bit too spicy for me, and the lamb was braised not roasted if you’re wondering. I like the coconut ceviche.nnOne time visit for me.

The food was delicious, service was lovely and atmosphere is cool! The garden shed theme is played out well through the menu, presentation of food, and the decor.nnI have also eaten here previously with a big group of 20 people and the catered food was beautifully prepared and prompt.nnUnfortunately, 4 stars because I ordered a medium rare steak and it came out well. I sent it back and it came back well again. I didn’t want to wait so I ate it. It was a tasty and tender steak, just not what I asked for.

It doesn’t get much better for a mid to high range restaurant. The lighting and atmosphere was actually really nice for a chill dinner date. Even while being busy the noise level wasn’t too high. Depending on the dishes it can be great I ordered the fish main and my girlfriend ordered the pork main. Both are really good but I’d recommend the fish main as the sauce punched it above. Overall great time. 2 mains, one entree and 2 desserts + 4 drinks came to just under $200
