Had a great dinner with our group of five adults, one child, and one infant. The food was awesome, and the service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Everything came out nicely, and we all had a great experience. Definitely recommend and would happily come back!

The Garden Shed in Mt Eden offers a stunning atmosphere that seamlessly blends a lush jungle vibe with a refined botanical garden concept. The restaurant is vibrant and busy.nMy wife has Shed Big Breakfast - Features generous portions, including streaky bacon, pork herb & garlic sausage, mushrooms, rosti, toasted sourdough, and poached eggs. The standout element was the house-made beans, which were packed with flavor. However, the sourdough was noticeably too hard to cut and chew comfortably.nSteak Sandwich - Served with scotch fillet, lettuce, tomato, pickles, caramelized onion, aioli, and fries. The steak was cooked perfectly-tender and moist-though it could have used a bit more seasoning to elevate the flavor profile. The fries had a great crisp exterior, though the interior remained slightly firm & undercooked.nExcellent ambiance and impressive elements on the menu, with just a few minor tweaks needed on execution. Still well worth a visit.

We had a fantastic dining experience at The Garden Shed. To start, we ordered the House Terracotta Bread with whipped butter and hummus, which was absolutely delicious. It was recommended by Calvin, our front-of-house host, and we were so glad we took his advice.nnThe lemon pepper squid was another standout dish—perfectly cooked, tender on the inside with a light, crunchy coating that everyone at the table enjoyed.nnFor our mains, we had the pork belly, the Shed Beef Burger with bacon, and the prawn linguine. Each dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. It was one of those meals where every plate exceeded expectations.nnTo finish, we shared the strawberry panna cotta and the crème brûlée. Both desserts were the perfect ending to a wonderful meal and were every bit as impressive as the courses before them.nnWhat made the experience even more memorable was Calvin. His friendly personality, great recommendations, and excellent service added so much to the evening. Every item we ordered was delicious, and the outstanding hospitality made us feel genuinely welcome. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend The Garden Shed to anyone looking for great food and exceptional service.

I recently celebrated my 40th birthday at The Garden Shed, and I couldn’t have asked for a better venue. My theme was “Blooming into 40”, and I wanted a setting filled with garden charm, greenery, and floral vibes. The Garden Shed was the perfect choice, with its beautiful ambience and cozy atmosphere providing a stunning backdrop for the celebration.nFrom the very beginning, Nixon responded promptly to my email enquiry, and we met within a couple of days. I had a clear vision for my party, and Nixon went above and beyond to not only meet but exceed my expectations. Ash was also incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. We had several meetings with the decorators and for different arrangements, and the team was always accommodating and supportive.nThe food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions that were more than enough for all our guests. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food and the cocktails, which perfectly complemented the theme. One of the highlights was that Nixon allowed us flexibility with the party timing and accommodated having both a DJ and a live singer on site, which truly brought my dream celebration to life.nOn the day itself, the staff were attentive, helpful, and ensured everything ran smoothly, allowing me to relax and enjoy the evening with my family and friends.nI honestly couldn’t have imagined celebrating my birthday any other way. I am more than satisfied with the entire experience and would like to extend a special thank you to Nixon for accommodating all my wishes and making my milestone birthday so memorable. Theme is true to the name… A really nice atmosphere set in Mt Edens Village shops with excellent interior design and vibe. Quirky waiter made a few suggestions that were spot on and overall the food was very good. Vegetarian options could maybe be a bit more exciting but the chosen dish was excellent. The ceviche was creamy and fresh and the pork belly tasty and well portioned. Food arrived in a timely manner and the bonus free lunch card was a pleasant gesture. We will be back.
