Northwest Mall’s a real gem out West – proper mean spot if you’re keen for a shop, a feed, or just a chill catch-up with the whānau. Whether you’re after a flash outfit, some new bling, or just wanna treat yourself, they’ve got all the top brands under one roof. The food court’s packed with all sorts – from burgers and sushi to fancy feeds – so there’s always something to keep your puku happy.nnIt’s not just the shops that make it a go-to. The vibe’s laid-back, the place is clean as, and you never feel too rushed. Good for a cheeky browse or a full-on retail mission. And if you’re dragging the kids along – no dramas. They’ve got play areas, family rooms, and loads of space to park the pram.nnAccessibility’s top-notch too. They’ve thought of everyone – from māmās-to-be and pēpi to the older cuzzies who need a hand getting around. Wide walkways, ramps, and clean loos mean it’s all sweet as. Plus, there’s plenty of parking so you’re not mucking around for ages trying to find a spot.nnAll up, Northwest Mall’s the kind of place you can spend the whole arvo without even realising – good vibes, good kai, and everything you need in one spot.
My Dad and I visited Northwest Shopping Centre today for a browse, some window shopping, and dinner at the food court during Thursday late night shopping. We had such a positive experience and wanted to share our appreciation.nnWhat stood out to us the most was the cleanliness of the entire shopping centre. Everywhere we walked was neat, tidy, well-presented, and clearly cared for. The food-court tables were being cleared promptly, food trays and rubbish removed, and tables wiped down regularly, which made the space pleasant and welcoming.nnA special thank you to one of the cleaning team members, Milli, who I had the pleasure of meeting today. I personally thanked her for all her hard work, and you can tell she takes real pride in what she does. Her effort and dedication truly show, and staff like Milli make a real difference to the shopping experience.nnI was also impressed with the cleanliness of the restrooms, especially the women’s toilets, it was tidy and well maintained. Even the warm water at the sinks to wash your hands, was such a thoughtful touch especially on colder autumn months—something many shopping centres overlook.nnNorthwest Shopping Centre is modern, updated, and a genuine pleasure to shop at. My Dad and I always enjoy visiting, and it’s a fantastic asset to the local Westgate community. Thank you to the whole team for maintaining such a high standard.
Average shopping centre. DO NOT use their EV charging car park. They are very strict on 60 minutes limit. Not even enough for a lunch and your grocery shopping. If you park there slightly longer than 60 minutes, you will get a fine of $65. They are very slow chargers. The charge will only last for several KMs for a 60 minutes charge. It doesn’t worth it.
It has lots of shops and places to eat. I liked the big Farmers and Woolworths. The food court and Town Square have tasty food. Parking is easy with plenty of spaces. The staff in the shops are friendly. It’s a nice place for shopping or just walking around.
The shared space out the front might need lights as people tend to hold up traffic and not give way. The mall itself seems quiet and very clean during the day. It would be nice to see it utilised more with maybe better shops for shopping.nI felt like I was walking through a Newmarket shopping mall in Waitakere City: High end prices for low earnings people.nnYou'd think the mall would start with shops that offer sales to draw in the crowds - like most malls have the $1-5 dollar deal shops the people are drawn to like Albany. Or a new Cinema or Kmart like St Lukes, or The warehouse like Westcity.nnI just felt it wasn't that busy in the times I'd gone. I'm guessing less customers is why there's no much deals. But I can say that heaps of available parking which is great.
