Mud Ducks

We stopped in here on our way back to Palmerston. I can honestly say that it gave us everything we were expecting for a nice café experience.nnWe ordered the eggs benedict, chicken waffles, oink burger and the soup of the day pumpkinnnEverything was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The price range is fair and the service was exceptional particularly from CoolynnnThank you so much.

love the fact they cook poached eggs properly! staff lovely - even handling a few trying customers with the utmost professionalism. seems a loyal local fan base too - always a good sign. recommend

We had the BEST brunch and best hot chocolate we have had in NZ so far - in the 18 months we have lived here - at Mud Ducks this morning! Our food was unbelievably delicious, the service was fantastic and we can't wait to go back!

We had a terrible customer service experience here 3 years ago and have not returned until today. We are very pleased that we did because the service was exceptional, our server was animated, friendly and she seemed genuinely happy to help us. We had the bubble and quack and it was delicious. House made hash cakes that were crisp packets of flavour without any greasy residue.The coffee was also rich and strong.nThe tables were clean and with the view of the river and markets this place is back on our Saturday brunch list. Took Mum for Mother's Day brekkie. Food and coffee were great, but it was our lovely waiter, Coolen ? unsure of spelling! who made the experience stand out. He was so friendly and very attentive. His energy was contagious and Mum and I both commented on what a difference it makes to a dining experience. Thanks so much!
