Back in the day, a general store wasn’t just a place to get supplies, it served as a meeting place for the locals.By the 1930s the peninsula community grew to 50 houses, along with a hall, a school and a church. Mr Illingsworth added post office facilities and a petrol pump to the store and it remained at the heart of community life.Just like Mr Illingsworth, we are all about community, so come in, grab a beer or a bite and enjoy your new local."

Not going to lie. Only went here as sugar grill was full. Nonetheless was a really nice experience. Food was super and brought out really quick. Staff are very friendly too. I don't know if I'm just old now that I'm passed the tender age of thirty, but the gangster rap music at 12:30 on a Friday afternoon was a little loud and didn't fit right.
Great food & Great Service ! Staff are on to it, very helpful! Thanks for looking after me and my family, well deserved Mothers day lunch for our mum.
We love Mr Illingsworth. Food and service is always great. Particularly love the fish tacos, cauliflower and raw fish.
Wasn’t sure what to expect but as soon as we saw how well trained the staff were I knew we were in for a good experience. The bar food was good the wine delicious and got to meet the manager ,Anton and share experiences of running good teams. He is really good and his experience running big venues and events shines through.. Didn’t know this place was here but I am so glad we did.. such an awesome venue for out and out fun. great staff. Good banter and a very very great and needed night.. go check it out for yourselves…Make sure you get to meet Sydney because she really looked after us and is just simply the coolest lady. Thank you to the whole team

Food exceptional, cocktails out of this world, music .. amazing. Tool a dear friend for a look for his birthday, had a fantastic evening. Have lived in the peninsula for a while now, annoyed I haven't checked this place out sooner
Great experience here the other night! The bar staff were super friendly, welcoming and provided excellent service. Went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Would highly recommend. Shoutout to the bar manager in particular
Our family had Mr Illingsworth for tea tonight. Fantastic environment, large delicious Meals !!! And a fantastic team of staff. They went out of there way when my son hurt him self. Please pass on to the team we really appreciated there help. Can't wait to come back!!! Kid-friendliness: Kids meals where a fantastic size and my 4 boys really enjoyed there time. Lots of space High chair available.
Took my family out for father's day, not gonna lie - they didn't like it when we got there. As soon as the food came through.. Viola! They highly recommend this place more than Denny's so glad I took them over
Had my 21st here and would absolutely recommend have your next function here. The extended food menu available for functions was delicious and also very practical for socialising. The atmosphere was amazing on the night and the staff were incredible. Organisation of the function was super easy and flexible. Thank you for everything!
