It is lovely and warm and the owners are a lovely couple. I have been healthy with an egg cucumber bun but also indulging in a cheese and onion scone which I have to say is excellent. The coffee is supreme and they make a very nice coffee. Well worth a visit. It is November 2018 and back again. I just had some really yum scrambled eggs and bacon. And a lovely soy flat white highly recommend Expense $-$$
A great little, quaint coffee place in Papakura with a great vibe, a wall of quirky material, a library of books and a piano for those talented humans. A range of snacks to go along with that caffeine fix including Vegan & GF choices.
Mottletop Cafe in Papakura is such a homely delightful local cafe and what I love most about this place are the club sandwiches and roti rolls, not to mention exceptional coffee!
Mottletop coffee is one of the best cafes around papakura..its affordable and cheap ..the mocha, macchiato and cappuccino are the best... ...
Love this little cafe, great food and coffee, lovely decor, relaxing to sit and chat for all morning. Local cafes at its best.
On recommendation of a local, my partner and I went here. Really enjoyed the experience. Great decor - love the mix and match approach, that was tastefully done. Love the food, real homemade kia, but well prepared. Coffee was nice, and it gets five stars because service was top notch. Looking forward to going back.
I mean, I personally am not a fan of the bakery style cabinet set up and food options. If I wanted a pie I'd go to the super good bakery across the road. But it's a café so it can be an easy place to meet a friend.
Went for lunch with wife and kids. Good options on the menu but food was hit & miss. Mushroom & eggs benni tasted fine but Hollandaise sauce felt and tasted store bought. When asked we were told it was chef made but offsite. It was also fridge cold so not sure. Bacon and eggs was a letdown as bacon was overcookes to the point of being tree bark. Omelette with chicken was nice. Coffee was good. Would have given this place 4 stars if bacon was better.
Yes, you can get good coffee here but the food should be mentioned. They offer many healthy options, meals that feel wholesome and also some sweet treats. I've always found the staff friendly and I like the atmosphere of the shop too.
Great little cafe. Very tasty and reasonably priced food with a lot of variety and a good selection of organic free range and gluten free options. Lots of quirky stuff to catch your eye on the walls and a heap of reading materials from daily papers through to a full set of enclypedia to browse through. Well worth a visit.
