What a perfect day at Moose Lodge. Couldn’t take my eyes off the view over the lake. Nice to see other visitors arriving by boat and tying up on the jetty. Must do that next time! Thank you for the lovely food and hospitality Shirley, Bevan and staff. A truely memorable day.Rooms: 5/5

WOW that view when you first walk in is just amazing! We came for my birthday which falls on Valentine's. We had a beautifully romantic evening.... food, company, staff and venue just stunning. We got to walk around Moose Lodge and the history is fascinating. I will be back in daytime to walk around the grounds and take it all in! Thanks to Shirley for being so hospitable. Birthday Boy. My wife booked two nights at Moose Lodge as a surprise for my birthday. I had no idea where we were going and when we arrived at the gates I couldn't believe we were going in to Moose Lodge. We were greeted and welcomed by Bevan. We were given a guided tour of the lodge and were blown away by the amazing point of difference displayed. Quite rare and an extra ordinary location and aspect with a stunning, calming view. Lovely rooms, quite and discreet. Beautiful meals and add to that the thermal pools, golf on a site with a quite challenging 9 holes. From the start of our stay & experience Bevan, Shirley and staff treated us with sincere friendliness and amazing service. We recommend people wishing to relax, enjoy and unwind that the Moose Lodge experience should be put at the top of your list. We will be back. Thank you

Had a superb day out playing 18 holes at Moose Lodge, challenging and varied holes with a bit of water with great green complexes 40, often deep, bunkers on a 9 hole course!. Friendly staff and relaxing surroundings. Highly recommend checking out this 'hidden gem'.

I don't believe that this place is truly used for weddings/functions. I have been past there on multiple occasions and have never seen movement from within their impenetrable walls. Yet, the security measures around the perimeter of this compound are completely disproportional to what they claim its used for. I think there's something fishy going on in there, and I'm determined to get to the bottom of it. Don't ever go there alone! Too many people have entered that place just to never return

BEWARE. This lodge is not open. You can make a booking on their website. Then they phone you for a credit card number but it’s all a scam. We checked with Rotorua visitors centre who confirmed they have been closed for yearsRooms: 1/5
