Went to the day spa for a massage and pedi. Our treatment package included a cheese platter and glass of bubbles. Which was delicious and the view was so relaxing. Didn't know at the time but 2 hrs use of the spa, pool and sauna were included. Massage therapist was friendly, social and the massage was amazing. Inside environment clean and relaxing. Highly recommend the experience and look forward to coming back the next time I go through the area.
I left it last minute to use a voucher I had been given for my birthday which was due to expire in a week. It was long weekend and I phoned on Sunday asking for a next day appointment. They called in their therapist Chrystal just for me. I had a 3hr pamper package, hot stone massage, facial and pedicure finished with a glass of bubbles and a cheese board. Chrystal was amazing. Her technique and pressure was exactly what I needed. Thank you Chrystal and Wai Ora for making this happen. I will be back again
Love the location next to the lake, service was excellent and the rooms were extremely clean and well catered for. The restaurant breakfast was superb! The best eggs benedict I've ever had. Highly recommend staying here, will definitely be backRooms: 5/5
Staying for a girls weekend, we were disappointed with the description of "Resort". It appeared to us that is was being utilized as a temporary housing facility on one side of the motel. The 2 spa's available were occupied by large groups of adults and children the evening we arrived. The next morning, one spa was in use and the other one was cold and not very clean. Our room was comfortable but we only had one very light blanket on our beds. We were cold through the August night and had to ask for more blankets the next day. First thing in the morning, loud talking and music woke us, this was coming from the room attendance staff. Walking out to the lakeside in front of the motel, the reserve had been torn up by vehicles and rubbish was left on the reserve. The two rooms we occupied both could have done with some maintenance and there was not a heat pump remote in one of the rooms. Unfortunately, I believe Wai Ora Lakeside should not be described as a Resort.
The staff were extremely helpful. The cosy bar was delightful. The restaurant had a limited menu, but the food was delicious. The room was very comfortable with a walk in shower. Definitely stay here again.Rooms: 5/5
Very friendly and helpful staff, rooms clean swimming pool needs a bit of cleaning but that's only a few leaves floating etc. Limited choice in the restaurant not my cup of tea so can't say anything about the food. Enjoyed our stay thank you.Rooms: 5/5
Great greeting and fabulous service, clean room and good shower. Didn’t look like photos though really. Pool area is tired, definitely not resort like. Could barely watch any tv which is what we wanted to do to relax at night due to it all being wifi connected and wifi is obviously terrible.
We arrived and were told Restaurant was not open. Should have been posted on line. We could not get normal TV stations working. Did not want Netflix or Prime. TV kept freezing, trying to get signal. Staff advised too many people using it. We just wanted to relax in front if TV. No teatowel in unit to dry dishes, so didn't. For the price we paid$250.00, the stay was disappointing.
Very pleasant service. Decent size room, big bathroom. Two armchears, tv, fridge, coffee station, wine glasses. Split unit A/C. Pool and spa with jacuzzi. Nice view.Rooms: 5/5
We stayed in this resort for one night and the room we got was really good with the lake view and was very clean .We really enjoyed staying there .Staff was really friendly and very helpful. We will definitely stay there againRooms: 5/5
