Really enjoyed the walk in this garden with everything blooming being Spring.nLots of close parking off Mona Vale Ave, cafe available part time, lots of seating dotted about, lovely river flowing through with lots of ducks and little bridges to cross.nHours open from 7am - 9pm in Summer, Winter 7am - 5.30pm.nFernery was my favorite and the stain glass gaebo, could easily spend a couple of hours looking around with multiple buildings on site.nOriginally called Karewa, architect Joseph Clarkson Maddison designed the homestead in 1899. In 1905 the property was purchased by wealthy heiress Annie Townsend who renamed the homestead Mona Vale after her Mothers birth place in Tasmania.
It was really nice when I came here 15 years ago, and today, February 22, 2026, is a very beautiful and cosy garden. At that time, I also took a boat ride, but this time I couldn't watch the ducks playing freely. I won't forget it when I go back to Korea.
Amazing open-air theatre's performance at the Mona Vale! Thank you, Top Dog Theatre! It was The Merry Wives of Windsor
This is a beautiful garden park and bonus is free entry. Take your time to look around and don’t forget to take pictures and Enjoy the nature.
Just a beautiful place really. Amazing garden surrounded by the Avon river and lovely houses. Duck are very friendly too. Now the bath house is open again, it's even better. Lovey to stroll around and enjoy.
