Mona Vale Garden Park

This park is so nice ! Flowers were in bloom and it was beautiful. It's free to just walk around and enjoy the flowers.nI was surprised to see so much flora in the Fall. We went on a weekend afternoon, it was peaceful and relaxing. Plenty of people doing their own thing from taking photos as well . I came here with a friend for the rose garden they have. It's a really lovely place and it's surprisingly quiet even though it faces two major streets . It's a great place to have a nice day out without breaking the bank or going out too far! Well cared for large rose gardens with a wide variety of species. The grounds themselves make a great place to take photos and or relax. The center of the garden has a large fountain to branch out from and explore. There are several gazebos on the grounds that provide shade for sitting and well smelling the roses

Have lived in Christchurch over a decade and only just visited Mona Vale!! Absolutely beautifully tranquil, English style large park, with Rose Garden and a host of colour and wonderful floral aromas! The house/cafe is stunning! And we saw a very large fish in the river! And lots of happy ducks! Highly recommend for a family day out or romantic walk! There’s a Fernery too which is lovely!

The garden is extremely beautiful. I feel like I’m in a wonderland there is lots of bridges, rivers, animals… there is a cafe inside it too. The rose garden is really nice and lots of chairs. Perfect for dating or having a picnic here. I really love this garden highly recommend.

You can find varieties of plants here, including flowers. I love the roses area, which is very beautiful and spectacular.nThe long way path beside the creek is always the spot point as it has the best view with the ducks swimming and crossing.nIt has a cafe, toilet and parking area. Many tourists visit this place all year round.

You won’t find a garden that’s filled with more passion and dedication in Christchurch than this! The property is steeped with history and overflowing with incredible flowers that are incredibly maintained! This should be on everyone’s list for each season of the year!
