It's a park. It's got grass. It's flat. If you need a large flat grassy area for doing things like running, walking, rugby, league, soccer, touch, riding bicycles, playing with your kids, picnics, interpretive dance, flying kites, bird spotting, collecting acorns or chestnuts, or practicing the trumpet, this place is for you. It's not good for skateboarding though, the grass is too long.
Love the new playground. My children played Rugby League here for Shirley. It is ashame the changing rooms and toilets were not upgraded too. There are a lot of teams that play here of all ages. Rugby League in the Winter and Touch Rugby in the Summer. The parking has disappeared too! This park used to have a great community feel and I am sure its still centre hub. There are also great community events every now and then. A large green space to walk the dog too. The empty shops around the park need an upgrade and really let the area down.
Good for walking and kids ride.
Not a bad playground tucked away on a quite street next to a basketball court and a huge field.
The new playground is wonderful and the bark is always plentiful. People who use it tend to be friendly. Lots of spacious park grounds for all to share safely. Generally drains well. Parking could be better with modern accessible toilets please.
