Riccarton House and Bush

I always love returning to Riccarton House, which is where I got married in 1997! We had a delicious lunch, staff were very polite and helpful, and we sat outside in the sunshine. My friend who was over from the UK had a wonderful time.

When you want to feel taken care of, while escaping the hustle and bustle, come and relax.nParking isn't always available down the drive, and possibly easier to just take street parking.nLoved the food.nHard to not bring up the topic of Heavenly Creatures.

Beautiful venue, clean and tidy.nnWent here for the Saturday food market - they could do with a lot more bins to take care of the overflow, but all the stalls were great, niche little artisan foods.nnRecommend the Okonomiyaki guy and Italian couple making hot pasta!

Lovely little paved predator free bush walk. Lots of pigeons and cute cat in the car park on the way out.

It was a great place to take the grandchildren in the holidays. They had a mobile library day with games and activities for the children.nThe bird sanctuary and bush walks are great for all ages and abilities.
