The food is delicious, great ambience, love the decor and the people are just as amazing. We live on the opposite side of auckland, but followed the food because we used to go to berlinchen in town! Great weekday deals and the weekend breakfast is on point!

What a lovely welcoming and family friendly place. Great food which the kids loved and a homely atmosphere. Great beer with chilled stein glasses, a nice touch. Highly recommend.

Went here for my birthday dinner and it was lovely! I anticipated this visit for months already and I can't believe how good it was! Many have passed by this restaurant without realising it due to its hidden nature on an industrial road. But once you come here, you'll leave feeling all satisfied. The food was delicious and the atmosphere felt cozy. Also the owner was so nice to check up on us and ask if we enjoyed the food. 10/10 would absolutely recommend coming here again for lunch or dinner with friends/family.

A hidden gem in Avondale. We can’t say enough good things about this nicely decorated German cafe. We all had our best German brunch at Mitten Drin. The food was incredibly tasty with large portions. The staffs are really friendly and provide good service. You get try German dish for both lunch and breakfast. We were so hungry forgot to take pictures so only took picture of a Bavarian breakfast. And their large size coffee literally means large size. All the coffee lovers like me will love that. This place is very welcoming relaxed with homely vibes. The food is German with affordable price, the beers are German and friendly staffs will make you to visit this place again
