I was recommended to try the pies here, and specifically for my first time to try a venison pie. It did not disappoint! The plum sauce added an element that just perfected my first venison pie experience!nnService was quick and friendly.nnHighly recommend!

Bought steak & cheese, special of the day, steak & mushroom bacon, lamb mint.nnAll super awesome, long queue is proof of good pies. There's only 2 benches outside as communal space, birds will come your way cause pies smelt good

Glad we stumbled upon Miles Better Pies, because it was such an unexpected treat. We ordered Chicken Bacon, Mince with cheese, Steak Mushroom and Bacon and Sausage Roll and all was delicious. It was a great way to end our stay at Te Anau

Steak and Cheese: step mum said it is one of the best steak and cheese pies she has had. Chunks of meat surrounded by a small amount of gravy, unlinke many pies in NZ which are cat food surrounded by jelly meat. Just the right amount of a tasty cheese flavor. Not heavy on cheese. Pasty good but not amazing.nnLamb and mint: dad said lovely lean lamb with proper mint flavours. Right amount of gravy. More than acceptable pastry taste.nnVege pie: really tasty sauce. Some vege pies are dry and gross, but this was moist and yummy.nnSteak, bacon and mushrooms: brother said inside was tasty and pastry was adequate.

We arrived there at 7.40am and surprisingly the pie is ready, hot and tasty. Ordered the beef & steak pie, chicken & bacon pie both very well. For drink, i have the chai latte, but it is a bit too sweet for me.nnThe shop doesn't have an indoor seating area, but right outside the shop, there are a few outdoor picnic tables.
