Came here with my husband as we were hungry in the morning. Ordered eggs benedict and was really surprised by the taste. I usually don't eat poached eggs, but this one was amazing! Really soft and easy to bite muffin and bacon Many thanks to Jo and Team for doing such a great service, very tasty, friendly staff, great atmosphere. Love the table near the fireplace! Hope to come here again very soon
Came here with my wife as we were hungry in the morning. Very tasty, friendly staff, clean dining area and great service. Ordered bacon and eggs with mushrooms on side, delicious! Also we did try truffle fries with grated parmesan, surprisingly tasty! Many thanks to Jo & Team for bringing high quality service! Definitely we will regularly dine here! Also yes tables near fireplace is perfect in winter Thank you very much!
The coffee was colder than warm and the rim of the cup was VERY dirty. The side of the cup looked like someone lipped it. It didnt taste like 'real' coffee at all and the foam was very bubbly. It felt like the coffee was out for 10min before serving. The french toast was supppper raw in the middle so it had a strong eggy taste and very gooey. The service was poor. The host/manager "greeted" us in an unfriendly manner. I didn't provide this feedback in person because it was the long weekend and staff might be busy and overwhelmed.
The venue was obviously understaffed. It took a wee while to get our order taken. Then the waitress promptly forgot it. She didn't give it to the kitchen. One hour later, she apologizes. My mother was there two weeks prior, and the same waitress did the same thing to her order. Obviously a very unprofessional waitress!! Setting is fabulous, food was okay, but nothing to rave about. Definitely would not go there again.
I couldn’t decide on what to have so ended up having what was recommended to us and it was divine! Beside that the fries were amazing and I definitely would go back just for that. Staff are friendly and great service. Anyone visiting Auckland needs to check this place out - I know I’ll be back.Food: 5/5
Popped in here with my daughter for lunch recently. She was working so it had to be a quick bite. They were very accommodating despite being busy. My Maroccan bun was attractively presented and tasty. I'd like to return for a more leisurely meal. Great to see the owner acknowledge any poor reviews and offer to discuss with the patrons.
We had a really enjoyable evening meal lovely food and very helpful friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and visit again. I would like to mention that the seating could be made more comfortable.
Went to Meadow Glendowie to get 4 flat whites. 2 large and 2 regular size to take away. They gave me large with not blue top cows milk. I thought it was soy and the barrister said "they are definitely not soy!" As a regular flat white drinker, I knew it was not cows milk and found it rude that she wasn't willing to remake them. My friend tried them and said they were oat milk. I didn't ask for oat milk! Realised I would have been charged for it too. The regular were cows milk. Always listen to the customer, as often we are always right.
We came for brunch on our second day in NZ. What a cool set up, we loved the vibe. Good coffee and pastries and excellent breakfast dishes!
Scrumptious food, amazing service, highly recommended. Just be mindful that if you don't book ahead, you may have to sit outside in the hot sun or in a windy area so plan accordingly as this place is super popular!Food: 5/5
