Thanks so much to the friendly and so efficient young men in the kitchen who quickly sorted me a takeaway today 4 March 2023 2pm as the cafe was quite busy. Sometimes the wait elsewhere is horrendous but not here. A real credit to the manager and the whole team. The food was good and hot too. Brilliant! Parking: Free

Really nice venue for brunch. We were a group of 10 which was a bit of a stretch for the kitchen, but they managed and everything was well cooked and delivered hot to the table.
Poor experience. Took a friend for lunch. Ordered a ploughmans, it was spread over the plate in an attempt to justify spending the money and did not resemble a ploughmans, bit of celery and meat, no bread or pickles and that was it. Very disappointing experience, would have done a better job myself. Will not go again. Serving staff were friendly and polite but lady behind counter when ordering was stressed although not many in there, did attempt to be polite but all too much for her. Parking: Plenty of parking
Tragic. Horribly overpriced food. £4 for a slice of cake? Zero friendliness from staff. The older lady owner? could of tried a hello when taking my order, but I just got a look instead. No friendliness from staff delivering my order. The staff werent well managed, so I felt sorry for the young staff. Two drinks took 20 minutes. I was told when I walked in they'd stopped taking hot food orders - just as well, I couldn't guess how long it would take to produce a sandwich. The drinks tasted fine - but no way would I return. Terrible place.
Served up raw sausage and under done poached eggs, didn’t notice till the end didn’t even offer a refund, feeling quite sick now
Staff were friendly, polite, Breakfast was fantastic toast in little basket with jam marmalade and real butter we will definitely be back.
Had a lovely stop in for breakfast on a bike ride through Ashdown forest. Surprised by recent negative reviews, food and staff were great!
Very friendly, helpful staff, not a big menu, but it is all fresh, great for anytime of the day, , Soups at lunch time go quick. And the cakes are to die for. Give it a try, you can even get some plants if you are there.
Always lots of delicious tasty treats to choose from and dog friendly
