McDonald's Quay Street

Quick service. The maccas app has good deals. This store has great space with 2 floors and a friendly staff.nThe ice cream serves are better than other stores, bigger ice cream cones and more fillings on McFlurry. Time and time again I noticed that.nThe only downside is the bathroom. It needs a deeper cleaning or even a revamp to get it on shape.nUpdate: The bathroom requires code now, remember to ask when ordering.

Food-wise, it’s good, as it’s McDonald’s. We all know that, but a couple of things I would say are that the parking rule of 1-hour only is not enough, as people with kids would love to stay and play for a while. The fact that you go over even for a couple of minutes will hit you with a stunning $85 ticket. Also, the upstairs seating closes early on some days, so there is not much seating for paying customers. There are a few Maccas around the city, so maybe avoid this one if you are not willing to move your car within an hour and do not have a seat and table to eat.

Legally while open they must provide paying customers with toilet facilities, but as they were closing 'soon' they had already locked the toilets from use, but kept serving customers. Apparently McDonald's is above the law and can do what they like. Also missed our drink and don't offer the chocolate icecream.

Slow as ***. Good place to wait 30 minutes for 1 soggy hash brown. $30+ for 2 people to eat, better off going and supporting a small-medium business with fresher food and real people

We like to come out at times to this macdonalds with the kids just for a drive to the city. Only downfall was the last time we came here and met up with friends we parked at the macdonalds parking for over and hour and only found out a couple of days later with a ticket that you can only park there for 1 hour. So be aware of the time you stay there.
