I think the "most Italian" place you will be able to find in East Auckland. Very close to the beach, low-key simple exactly how Italian suppose to be honest good restaurant. Portions are big, we all couldn't even finish our meals. Prices very reasonable for the location. Great wine. Better to make a booking.
It's a cosy small local eatery. The ventilation was not good in the main room. There was no window. The food was okay but the portion is kind of small. The service can be improved as well as the speed.
Just off the main promenade, make sure you visit this lovely Italian restaurant recommended by some locals. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Food was plentiful and delicious. I had the Carbonara which I really enjoyed. Would highly recommend a visit.Food: 5/5
Sadly our party had an underwhelming experience here at our local Italian. Unfortunately our waitress with her name on her necklace was extremely miserable and it appeared she could not be bothered to greet us in the correct manner or even use the basic manners of ‘Please and Thank you’ when these were reciprocated to her. To make matters worse, when our group went to pay upon exiting the chef/manager made it difficult for each individual to pay for their own meal/drink and was overly insistent on everyone ‘splitting’ the bill although some members of our party did not drink alcohol or had a beverage of some sort. Even one of our guests advised how much he had spent to the gentleman only for this to be rebuked, this then as unexpected meant one of our party picked up the whole bill. A large 8 slice pizza was also an eye-watering $33. A disappointing experience unfortunately.
We were encouraged by other reviews but unfortunately this restaurant is not Italian enough for our taste. And while it's edible, the food is not worth its price. $33 for a "large" pizza with only a little bit of meat in the middle is a joke. And "tzatziki" should not be a blob of cream on each slice.Food: 3/5
This restaurant seems to have lost its way as it used to be good with excellent service. Now seems sloppy with specials advertised but not available ,meals coming out at different times , wrong wine glasses and too rushed to sort or care. Stick to take away only and do one thing well.
Delicious italian pizza. And Tiramisu tasted extraordinery! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pizza
Great local restaurant. Pizza is typical kiwi style loads of toppings and heavy on cheese covering but service is great, wine is super reasonable and it is a great little local spot for a quick dinner with outdoor seating
Got recommendations to go here for a birthday dinner. Booked early enough, sat outside. Saw many passing doggos, always a great view. Had the lasagna and garlic pizza bread, my goodness it was a big portion! It was great!!! So delicious.
I have a dairy allergy and they we're so patient and understanding with me. They were careful and highly communicative, which resulted in the BEST Italian food I have had in YEARS. I got the gnocci and the italian salad df and my 7 year old niece got the bolognese. 11/10 will come back again.
