Went in here a month or so ago so I can't remember the flavours but the pizzas were sooo good! The waiting staff were very accommodating since the place was full and we didn't have a booking. We ordered 3 medium pizzas which I think were part of a deal they had and portion was just right for 4 people
Good service and nice family atmosphere. Ordered the basil gnocchi and cranberry chicken pizza. The pizza was more tomatoes than cranberry and there was slices of unmelted cheese just placed on top. The Gnocchi was also slightly floury. The food is good and do come here often but it is very average food but I do recommend for family outings especially with children.
The worst restaurant ever visited in AUCKLAND. PATHETIC FOOD & SERVICE. Upon reaching the restaurant at 7.45pm there was a sign board. Stating “Please wait here to be seated”. But was waiting there for almost 5min to be seated but non of the staff approached and we had to walk in ourself. Upon self seated after requesting 3 times the water was served this was at 8.10pm. Within 5min the waiter can and asked if we were ready for start our dinner. We were not ready still we ordered some starter to start. Since we were 12 of us and didn’t want the kitchen to get over loaded. Then within 5min the server comes back and ask if we were ready to order our next dish maybe more starter or mains. We ordered some pizza which was at 8.25pm. Before the arrival of this order the server come and tell our kitchen will close at 9pm would you like to order main’s around 8.30pm. Still without getting our starter we ordered our mains. And the mains were served without clearing the dirty small plates and without cutlery. Steak was over cooked we asked for Medium Well but we got Over done. Tomato pasta was dry. Prawn pasta was very fishy as the prawns were not fresh THE MOST IMPORTANT WE WERE TABLE OF 12 PEOPLE BUT THE SERVER SERVING OUR SERVER WAS TRAINEE.
Ordered one pasta, two pizzas and one risotto. The pasta chicken and mushroom fettuccine is OK. The pumpkin and spinach risotto is a bit salty and flooded with olive oil. see pic Pizzas were mediocre. Lots of ingredients but the dough was a lot worse than what I had years ago. To be honest, Pizza Hut is better. All in all, an average experience and not truly enjoy the meal. May need to think twice if I will come back again.
Good food . Good size . Great taste . . Spaghetti bol was very traditional and was the only let down with not enough mince . However, the chicken fettuccine was a 10/10 best I have had in a long time, beautiful cheesey garlic bread. Pizza was also very good . . Music was at a nice volume level .Food: 5/5
Service was very great, food came out nice.. Everything would have been perfect, but my fish was raw and cold and end up paying full price.
Just had a birthday dinner at La Porchetta tonight, and I must say that it was mid. Average really. Although, we loved their service and the trainee waiter was lovely. We got the Fettucine Al Funghi, Lasagna & the Peri Peri Chicken Pizza. Peri peri chicken pizza: 9/10, would recommend. Lasagna: 3/10, it primarily tasted like the bottled pasta sauces with some mince. Fettuccine: 2/10, this unfortunately wasn’t it. This dish is creamy yes, although it just seemed as the cream was not made as a pasta sauce, but just poured over into the dish itself. It was really light in colour, super runny, and smelt like fresh cream right from the bottle. There is usually no smell because it all blends in with the pasta dish. This is how we were able to tell that the cream has just been poured over. Half way through we began to have sore stomachs, which never happens and we do get this dish often from other Italian restaurants. We are still currently dealing with this. Although the service is lovely, we weren’t too pleased with the authentic Italian dishes tonight, apart from the pizza.
Had wine tasting here with friends. Amazing service and food was very tasty!!! The seafood platter is a must order
Haven't been to La Porchetta in years, so this was a tasty treat. Just as good as I remember.Food: 5/5
The atmosphere was really loud and it took about 10 minutes for someone to come take our drink order after sitting down. Once we ordered the food arrived pretty quickly. The portions were good. I had the pesto gnocchi the only complaint was it was drowning in sauce.Food: 4/5
