Portofino Devonport

Popped in for a family dinner on Sunday night whilst visiting Devonport. Friendly staff and wonderful food. Definitely worth stopping by.Food: 5/5

My friend got wrong pasta dish first, the change was noted but not made, second time her pasta had hair in it and was returned, didn't order further. Fair to say it was both bad customer service and food. Not going back again. Replying to your response: Yes, we or anyone we know won't be there again. Expecting to have paid for that dish would be silly, wouldn't have paid even if it was in the bill, that goes without saying that customer will not pay for it after all what I mentioned above. This is my feedback because it ruined our evening due to repetitive errors.

We went to Portofino on the worst possible day. There was a lights show at the Viaduct and tenths of thousands of people were expected to attend. Every restaurant was packed. However, Portofino helped us to a table, without booking, after we failed to find a table at other restaurants. Once inside, it was clear they were quite busy, but the waitress was very nice to us. Once we ordered it took 50 minutes for the food to arrive and we complained. The waitress was kind and offered the kids ice cream as a compensation for the wait. I ordered the red wine steak. It was great, as seen on the pictures. I enjoyed the taste, although I prefer a bit more quantity. In summary, on a very difficult day, we were satisfied and would happily keep coming to Portofino.

We had a great meal there. Food was top notch service was friendly gave us time to decide on food. Seating is very comfortable. The restaurant is very open and clean as are the restrooms. I highly recommend this restaurant.Food: 5/5

Great Italian restaurant. Tasty delicious food at good value. The place serves drinks and wine. Beautiful place to have dinner.
