LyLo Queenstown

I can grantee you that every visit I have been to Queenstown I have stayed here at least one of the nights. There was only one time where I had an issue with here where I arrived well after 1030pm for check in during a cold winter night and waited for a hour before I was able to get inside. After that stay I had left feedback and the manager was so prompt to follow up and rectify the issue and for that I am grateful. I have stayed in both individual pods and in the family rooms and honestly they are both great! The family room comes with 1 king bed and a bunk and we have always been able to accommodate 4 people without any issue not to mention it comes with a bathroom. The pods are also a hit as each person is able to have their own and price wise really affordable. Now everytime I bring someone new down they want at least one night to experience the pods. Clean sheets and facilities have always been pleasant when staying here. Thanks Lylo for always having us.

In the heart of Queenstown; we were able to access all tour meeting locations and eateries by foot! By far cleaner and cozier than other hostels we stayed in in NZ, loved our stay here and the one in Aukland.nnGood pricing for shared or private spaces too.

Location is amazing and staff friendly but very unclean. Stayed for 6 nights and the bin in our room was never emptied, overflowing by the time I left. Showers mouldy and dirty, men’s toilets had no toilet paper in two of the cubicles for two days in a row. Two days also without the drinks working in the upstairs social space. I liked the pod set up, big bunks and private but the plugs were too close to the wall for my adapter, could charge nothing in them, also annoying to not be able to charge anything in the day as you need your room key for power but also to get you in the room…

Cool place to stay! The staff are helpful and friendly. You can also check in and out by yourself using the tablets by the front desk, and just leave your key card there if staff isn't around. It was really quick and easy. The location is great, just a short walk from the waterfront, heaps of restaurants, shops, and the gondola just up the road. The common area on the top floor is cosy and nice. It's warm and comfortable inside. I slept in a 8 pod room. There's power points in the pod to charge your device and lockers under the bed to secure valuables. They have roller blinds for privacy in the pods. I did find that it doesn't totally block the light so I kept waking up during the night feeling like it's morning already, an eye mask could be a good idea if light easily wakes you like me. Also the door, lockers and edges of the pods are creaky, you can't be quiet even if you try, so other guests coming in late sounded quite noisy. Still, so much better than a regular bunk bed dorm, my days in those are over, I'm converted to the pods! Enjoyed my stay and would stay again!

I had a great experience at LyLo Auckland, which is why I chose to stay at LyLo Queenstown. Overall, the experience was excellent and definitely worth the price. One small thing to note is that the toilet cleanliness could be improved, but it wasn’t a big issue for me. Would definitely still stay here again when I'm back!
