Crowne Plaza Queenstown, an IHG Hotel

We recently stayed at Crowne Plaza Queenstown and had an outstanding experience from start to finish.nnThe accommodation was comfortable, modern, and perfectly located, just a short walk from the city centre where there is an endless choice of restaurants, cafés, shops, and activities. Whether you're looking for adventure, sightseeing, or great dining options, everything is right at your doorstep.nnWhat truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional team. From the front desk staff to the restaurant and bar team, and the hardworking housekeeping staff, every interaction was warm, professional, and welcoming. Nothing was ever a hassle, and the genuine commitment to customer service was evident throughout our stay. The staff work incredibly hard to ensure guests have a memorable experience, and their friendly attitude made us feel valued from the moment we arrived.nnThe buffet breakfast was exceptional, offering a fantastic selection of both hot and cold options. The variety and quality of the food were outstanding and provided the perfect start to each day.nnWhile there are many great things about this hotel, the absolute highlight has to be the spectacular views. Waking up to breathtaking views of Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables is something truly special and makes this property stand out from the rest. A very close second is the professional, friendly, and dedicated staff who consistently went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

We Stayed here for 2 weeks. It was perfect. They have a storage room for snow equipment, awesome rooms, beautiful breakfasts and the staff were so friendly. Add this to the fact that its perfectly situated, a short walk to nearly everything. So glad we stayed here. I highly recommend.

This hotel was a perfect location for the town centre, waterfront & amazing view of the Remarkables.nWe moved to a lower floor so as not to have a connecting door. The view was still amazing.nAlso great if you’re with people where you do need room connecting as most rooms have this ability.nThere is a balcony and seating to have a coffee looking at the stunning views.nThe rooms were clean & spacious.nThe staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Valet parking is offered which we found useful.nThe price for this hotel particularly given the location is very reasonable.nWould recommend.

The only reason I’m giving this hotel two stars is its excellent location. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t stay here again.nnThe service was consistently disappointing. For a hotel charging around $720 per night, I expected a much higher standard of hospitality. Staff were generally rude and unwelcoming. Simple questions were often met with audible sighs, making us feel like we were inconveniencing them. We’re not high-maintenance travellers—we simply expect polite, professional service.nnOur room, with two beds, was only just adequate for the price. The bathroom was particularly small and didn’t reflect the premium rates being charged.nnWe’ve stayed in hotels all over the world and expected much better from a New Zealand hotel. The warm, friendly Kiwi hospitality that New Zealand is known for was completely missing from this experience. It’s a real shame, because the location is excellent, but poor service overshadowed our entire stay.

Crown plaza was a great place to stay. Fantastic position right in the thick of all the excitement and beauty. Flat walking distance to everything eg marina, restaurants, shops, buses and the view from our room and balcony was majestic!! The staff were absolutely amazing and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. All the staff were beautiful but we did have our favourites in Hannah and Edwardo who served us delicious cocktails in the bar and on site restaurant. Lots of laughter and banter and smiles. We also had a lovely complimentary cheese board and a bottle of wine waiting for us in our room on arrival. Would we stay there again?? YES!! Thank you everyone . Regards Margie and Ron.
