Friendly staff. It is a big store but easy to find whatever you are looking for. Parking is easy with under ground parks. Located in the heart of Hamilton. The main transport hub for the cities public transport is handy. Just across the road. Open till midnight. Disability parking spaces are available.
Kmart offers a decent selection of products at reasonable prices, making it a convenient option for basic shopping needs. However, my overall experience has been somewhat underwhelming, warranting a three-star rating. Firstly, the layout of the store can be chaotic and disorganized, making it difficult to find specific items. Navigating through cluttered aisles can be frustrating and time-consuming, detracting from the shopping experience. Additionally, while the prices are competitive, the quality of some products leaves much to be desired. I've encountered instances where items purchased from Kmart have proven to be of subpar quality, resulting in disappointment and the need for returns or exchanges. Another aspect that could use improvement is customer service. While I haven't had any particularly negative interactions with staff, I've found that assistance is sometimes lacking, especially during busy periods. More attentive and knowledgeable staff would greatly enhance the overall shopping experience. On a positive note, Kmart does offer a convenient online shopping option, which can be a lifesaver for those unable to visit a physical store. The website is easy to navigate, and delivery times are generally prompt. In conclusion, while Kmart serves its purpose as a budget-friendly retailer with a decent product selection, there are areas in which it could improve to elevate the overall customer experience. With some adjustments to store layout, product quality, and customer service, Kmart has the potential to earn a higher rating from me in the future.
My husband and myself went to Kmart Friday afternoon and before we started looking around I asked if their was a toilet to use. We are an elderly couple in our 70's and use a walking stick. Apparently they don't have public toilets to use which I find disgusting, considering they expect you to spend time browsing around. In winter time it's even harder because of the cold weather you have to go more often. We couldn't stay unfortunately, which upset me immensely. How do young children and older folk get on? Mitre 10 and Bunnings have toilets as do petrol stations out of courtesy for their customers. Don't be a cheap skate Kmart, provide for your customers who want to spend money and time in your store. People would then buy more than one item in your store. Extremally disappointing indeed. :
We had a very bad experience a while ago regarding racial issues. As my partner and I proceed to exit the store with our receipt and things in hand, not a single person got checked for what is in there bag or to get their receipt scanned. Strangely enough, when the women working there that day saw my partner Indian, she couldn’t have been fast enough to approach him and ask about the recipe and look in our bag in a very rude way. There was a women right behind us white, who thought everyone is scanning their receipt and lined up behind us. The Kmart worker directly told here „Oh no sweetie, you are fine“ and let her go.nSo out of allllll the people on that busy day, you choose to check the only not white person ok that time and tell others they can just walk straight out.nAbsolutly unacceptable
Big, cheap, slightly depressing. Only self-service checkouts operating when I visited, I'm not even sure whether they have checkouts with real people. Staff were few and far between. Overall I think I prefer to get my cheap stuff from The Warehouse.
