It's okay. Not well managed. Skincare and makeup is always a mess with open,spilled, or broken products spread about. They have slightly more availability of stock in certain items. I wonder why. The staff are straight up rude. I purchased a set of earbuds at the self checkout because there are no actual customer service checkouts and had to go up and ask a staff member to remove the security tag. The staff member was extremely rude and side eyed me, although I had asked politely. She didn't even speak to me, and when i was saying thank you to her, she just rolled her eyes at me. Staff need to be better at basic human decency and kindness.
Well I bought a boxed dog harness size small that was reduced in price due to letters to add pets name to the harness, were missing from the torn box. The box had been taped up. When I got home I took it out and it was not a small harness, I measured it as there were measurements on the box and this harness was 10 cm bigger than a small harness. I took it back in today with my receipt and was shut down pretty quickly and told because it was reduced in price with a yellow clearance sticker, I could not return it. I asked how I have to wear the cost when it was not the correct size as advertised on the box. Well then the woman I was speaking with then rudely asked if I had tried it on my dog. I said yes. She then very rudely said no we can’t take it back for hygiene reasons!! Nothing about that on the website, lots of things unable to be returned due to hygiene, this was not one of the many listed items. She didn’t ask to see the harness, didn’t take the box, just shut me down and said NO, she was so rude and it was humiliating being spoken to like that. Ok so go to my car and I call Kmart NZ and explained what happened. She put me on hold and called the store. This woman lied and said she had examined the harness and it was covered in dog fur! Spoiler alert, there was not a dog hair in sight! I asked them to check the cameras, as the woman didn’t even lay eyes on it. Its one thing to be rude, it’s a whole other issue when they blatantly lie!! This woman is often rude and I bet a lot of people who shop here regularly will know exactly who I am talking about! I got my money back, but it was a mission and took almost an hour of my life I will never get back
Friendly staff. It is a big store but easy to find whatever you are looking for. Parking is easy with under ground parks. Located in the heart of Hamilton. The main transport hub for the cities public transport is handy. Just across the road. Open till midnight. Disability parking spaces are available.
Bad. Saw the staff member that scans receipts at the door harassing and yelling at a customer that couldn’t find her receipt, she started degrading her and accusing her of stealing. The customer had in fact paid for her items. Few mins later she found her receipt and showed that same staff member who did not apologise for her behaviour. Unprofessional and poor everything. Do better.
