Hainanese chicken was over cooked and the rice was lack of chicken stock flavor. I more prefer the Yummy Kitchen one. The fish head laksa noodle wasn't great as well. Fish head was under cooked, not crispy at all and the rice noodle was not mixed with the laksa well. I will go Blossom Court for the fish head noodle. Overall, it's not value for money and will never come back again.
Good food. We ordered quite a few dishes for pickup/takeaway for a family gathering and everything was cooked on time. The food was good and they had decet portions. The standouts were their nasi lemak rice - very flavourful, they nailed it and KK Special fried chicken and pork ribs - delicious, would make for good drinking food. The only dish that didn't quite live up to the others was the beef rendang, it still tasted alright but lacked the usual richness and they don't use beef cubes so was a little wierd for me. Personally, I'd take it off the menu and keep working in it in the background. The spice levels were surprisingly low but it'll be to cater for local palettes. You can buy chopped chillies and their sambal which was very good.
Greeted warmly with patient server and seated quickly. Unfortunately cutlery was a bit dirty and father was not impressed. Food was served within 10 minutes, extremely fast service for dinner. Deep fried tofu Topped with basic sweet and sour sauce, crumbled peanut and cucumber not too special but the tofu itself was lovely, crunchy and crisp upon first bite, hot and soft in the centre, a great entree. 8/10 Kk pork ribs Very crunchy, not what I was expecting, but pleasantly surprised. Mildly spicy, pleased with the crunch! The basil leaves were a really good topping. Pleased that these that the rib pieces had a bit more bone for munching which I personally prefer! 7/10 Butter prawns ~10 king prawns The perfect amount of salt and sweet buttery taste, the prawns didn't quit so much have the taste itself but when eaten with the floss tastes great. I was expecting more crunch so that factor was lost on me. 6.5/10 Sambal eggplant Soft and mildly spicy, paired well with the prawn. Texture of the eggplant is quite soft and not super chewy or tough. Personally I like a bit more chew. But overall the taste was very authentic and a good choice. 7/10 Steamed chicken Last order for the ones who can't tolerate spice in our family. Slight peanut flavor, tender upon the first bite. Has a pile of bean sprouts underneath which were average. 6.5/10
Came here today. The fish soup vermicelli was nice and creamy, not too fatty as well. Quite a nice warm soothing meal. Nasi lemak, which is my favourite Malaysian dish, it is a famous dish here as well. The presentation was nice as always with the bluish coconut rice. But today I feel the rice is not as good. The rice was cold and not enough coconut flavour. The rendang was very good, and everything else was not bad. They are missing the crunchy anchovies which is a key piece of ingredient of this dish. Overall is still very yummy. Wish they gave us complementary hot chinese tea though.
The customer service is quite good good and the staffs are welcoming. Fair prices and nice foodFood: 4/5
The food here is the best. I advise the mummy pork ribs and the tom yum fish head noodles. Most importantly, the food is super duper yummy. There aren't many tables. You can pretty much walk in and get a table during non-peak hours. Otherwise amazing.Food: 5/5
Still a great Malaysian restaurant in my opinion. The food is authentic albeit usually lacking a tad bit of spiciness and the portions are usually quite generous. Am a fan of their soup noodle dishes Seafood Laksa comes to mind.
Consistently taste good. We ordered curry laksa fish noodles, Wan tan hor, beef rendang Nasi lemak, fried mee hon.
The price is going up, and the quality and the portion of the food are going the wrong way, my kids used to love to go to this place to enjoy their food, but now they don't even finish their dishes even though they were very hungry, maybe it's time to try somewhere else, very sad! ******************************************************** Wow, look at the attitude from the reply also refer to other replies for all the not-so-good feedback, It seems like the owner has no idea how to acknowledge their customer's feedback, the only thing they do is look for excuses and redirect the purpose of the feedback, it's wasting time to pass feedback if the feedback is not taken effectively...so, Good Bye KK, this negative feedback will stay here forever, and everyone will know this story.
It was ok, huge food menu.. a bit too big actually. The menu needs a redesign as physically they are falling apart. The setting is poor and needs a huge upgrade. Staff were hard to communicate with and didn't seem to care. Food is decent.
