Sushi made from high grade fish, some great fresh flavours, good service including explanations on the food and also just a nice variety of food, including some unusual selections. Really recommend the salmon skin roll.

Charming little sushibar on the outer rim of city center. The sushi was fresh and tempura super crispy. Service was impeccable. Would highly recommend, but then again I also want it to remain a secret Food: 4/5

A very cosy sushibar in The Hague city center with good food and friendly staff. It is that cosy that you have the feeling of visiting somebody's home. It is not 100% tidy but that does add to the overall homey feeling. The place was full when I dined here on a Wednesday evening together with a friend of mine. That situation did mean that everyone was sitting very close to each other. The people working at Kiraku are polite, friendly and focused on your every need. Not sure whether they are actually Japanese but that does not matter at all in my opinion. The food was good, looked amazing and quickly served. I am not a food expert but I could taste the difference with those other commercial "all you can eat" sushi restaurants. There is also much eye for details in the presentation of the various dishes including impressive cappuccino art. From a pricing perspective, it is on the somewhat more expensive side. But again, it is not an average sushi place and is located in the city center. Also, important to note that the restroom was clean and even equipped with one of those electric bidet cleaning toilets. I will be visiting Kiraku again when I want to have good sushi in my own hometown. Thank you, Kiraku!

Kiraku sushibar is one of the best if not the best sushi places in The Hague. They serve authentic dishes and have a good selection of sake. While the restaurant itself doesn't have a lot of space it is very much worth your while to reserve a table. Menu wise the the sashimi and scallops in wasabi cream are must try items. This restaurant is also one of the few that have uni or sea urchin on the menu. You can get this off menu as sashimi. If you are visiting The Hague and have a craving for Japanese food then seriously consider visiting Kiraku. You won't be dissapointed. Do reserve a table in advance to avoid dissapointment.

Great quality food and restaurant in classical Japanese style that exists since 30 years here in this place, only changed owner once, 20 years ago — my daughter 10 loves it too and also thought the real Japanese toilet was funny! Friendly people and maybe slightly pricey, but for quality we should pay a bit more.

I came here a bit too early before their official opening hour of 17:00. Luckily they were kind to let me in and I could place my take-out order. I saw uni on their menu which quite surprised me, because I have not seen it yet in other sushi restaurants. So had to order their Kiraku Nigiri set and an uni nigiri to try it out. I had to travel 1h+ to get home. And once home the sushi still tasted quite fresh. Normally i cannot handle raw tuna from other sushi restaurants, because it is often not thát fresh. It smells really fishy in a bad way. But the sushi here was really tasty! Will come back someday to eat at the restaurant itself instead of getting a take away :

Awful sushi. Can't understand any of these positive reviews. For the price we paid I had not expected what we got: Sushi tasted bad and we both got sick after eating here and none of the other members of our family got sick so it was clear it was from eating sushi at kiraku. People are awfully rude and unhygienic chef did not wash his hands or wear gloves while preparing the sushi. The place was a mess and it was overall just a really bad experience.

I use to go there many years ago, we ordered some sushis today and they were really good fresh fish etc. Looking at the reviews I was really surprised to see either very bad or very good reviews, from our point of view it was all positive.Food: 5/5

Went here last Friday by myself without reservation. They had a spot for me at the bar, next to a lovely couple, who I constantly had some nice chats with. Had a lovely amuse, rainbow sushi, salmon sushi, green tea and vanilla mochi ice cream. It all tasted so delicious and was rightly proportioned. Usually I find they make the sushi so big these days, that it doesn't even fit in your mouth anymore in one bite. But here it was not the case! It was perfectly sized and nicely presented. Good friendly service too. The place is not big so it feels kinda intimate. Definitely recommend if you want to try something else than the all you can eat places.
