Umi Sushi and Umiya Japanese Cuisine

While the sushi was enjoyable. The pad thai's chicken tasted as if it was unfrozen not fresh and that honestly ruined the dish. The cocktail however was decent and nicely presented. The only - to that was the fact that they put way too much ice in it.

We ordered a couple of the sushi specialties and it was ok. It was not fantastic, but not bad either. It was nicely prepared and served. The wasabi was not making its usual up the nose effect though, probably adjusted to be milder. We also had white rice with stirfried veggies and meat, which was ok. For me, it was quite bland. Waiters polite. They seemed understaffed the day we went though, hard to get their attention. Place was clean and well maintained. I felt tables were too close to each other. Conveniently located at city center. Prices reasonable.

Very Delicious kinds of sushi & asian food, friendly personal services mostly Nepalese team, glamour wide ambiance with apart table depend of need, easy to find in tourisme Central city, reasonable prices with quality, for privaat or party is good. Beautiful performance food too...

This place is one of the best I have visited. I returned here I would guess 20 times at least and when I take friends here, they love it immediately. Best make reservation upfront as this place is really popular. The staff is always very friendly and correct. I enjoy being there. Update: I can't count the years that I come here. By far the best sushi place in Antwerp! It's here that we celebrate when my kids come home. Such a nice place and friendly staff.

Average at best. Sushi okay no innovation or out of the bo, alhtough I asked for the restaurant recommendation, which ended up being the most expensive combo. Normally, I do not eat sushi with ginger, soya sauce and wasabi, but the sushi dry rice needed it for moisture and flavour. At least the fish was fresh. We also ordered the chefs special, and paid 18 euros for a watery soya sauce dish with soya beans, carrots, one baby peper and some chicken slices could do it for 5 euros, Antwerp price. The environment is not bad, but the cuisine should be improved... and toilets must be cleaner

The sushi itself and the service was great! They were very nice and food came out relatively fast. The only 4 star I am giving is for atmosphere because someone tried to sell us flowers during our meal which can be a little awkward to say no to when they come to your table I don't believe it was the restaurant itself doing this but it happened anyway. I should also mention we didn't feel great the day after, but I have no concrete reason to blame it on the sushi so I haven't reflected it in the rating. Just mentioning it in case it happens to many more people too.

Enjoyed food here twice with good friends, both were wonderful experience. All the sushi dishes were tasty, especially love the gunkan!

Ordered takeaway from here and not very impressed :/ Sushi was ok nothing special but the red curry which was a whopping €20 was watery, tasteless and not even spicy!!! Total fail. Very disappointed to spend so much here wait for 1 hour delivery and get tasteless food!!! For people wondering and who want to taste good food better to avoid this place. If quality cannot be achieved simply lower the prices to match the quality.
