Amazing ribs which have been consistently good each time we have got them. Solid Smokey cook on them and right through the meat, not just a glazed on sauce like most places. Definitely would recommend. Love their pickles! Mac n Cheese and Tater tots are great as well
The place is quite nice. They have a good selection of tap beers, beers, wine, and cold drinks. There is table seating, high bar seating, and comfy couches, both indoor and outdoor. I would suggest making a booking or reservation if it's a few of you, because it does get very busy. The food is definitely not worth the money. They currently have a special on for food combos from Mon - Fri. My biggest issue was the amount of children running amok. There were so many children, which was very unexpected for a bar/brewery. If you and your grown friends want to chill out, don't do it here. There are just too many kids. The staff very friendly, and knowledgeable, and they were very helpful in helping me making my beer selection. The service was very fast, considering how busy it was. Overall it seems like a neat place
Absolutely love the bbq experience! Pretty sure the rest of the kiwis would appreciate a large selection of craft beers too! We had beef brisket and Greek salad. It was amazing!! Love the garlic aioli!
What a disappointing dining experience. A party of 12 expected to eat sitting on couches. This was corrected. Served food for 6 people equivalent to 2 individual meals. Portion control obviously to difficult to work out for a shared platter. At least the dogs I saw there looked happy.
Really nice relaxed atmosphere. The food was awesome! Only problem was we couldn't try it all so we need to go back : Also a nice selection of beers that suited all our tastes.Food: 5/5
Such a bad experience: had a table of 12 there on a Saturday night, I understand it was a fairly big group, but 6 people had gotten their food and finished before the other 6 meals arrived. When telling the staff, they were unfazed however we did get our food shortly after. We had ordered a share plate which to start with, didn’t have enough ribs for 6 people, so only 5 of us got one, the sides were SO small, and everything was cold. We had to ask for plates as they hadn’t given us any, to which we got an eye roll from the waiter. Overall, a disappointment.
TLDR - Not good value for money. Went there for lunch and a few beers with 4 friends. Overall, beers were rather bland sentiment shared by all my friends and very expensive $11-$14, they didn't come in 'pint' glasses but much smaller glasses. Lunch was equally disappointing. The tofu sandwich called sandwiches but they're basically burgers was grossly overpriced. One slice of tofu which had the consistency of scrambled egg in a bun for $19.50... My friends who got the meat options also weren't impressed. Other factors which contributed to the experience but not the fault of those working there - A market was on in the carpark which meant on street parking only - Only 2 staff behind the bar this led to very long queues - 40 minute wait for food to arrive - Overcharged for beer as a result of their sign not being up to date with the correct price staff were made aware and resolved the issue Silver linings - Staff were clearly struggling to keep up with demand but were very friendly. - A nice building with nice outdoor area.
I came here to eat on Saturday night, had booked weeks ahead but when we arrived our table of twelve was stuffed on some couches with 3 low coffee tables as our dining table, apparently very busy and there were no tables…. That is what reservations are for . I found the meals very disappointing with small portions , and everyone not getting their meals together. I booked by looking at the reviews of the various Juke Joints and yours seemed to be well liked, but I’m afraid that wasn’t the case. Definitely not going there again
Absolutely loved this place. We had beers paddles and later a couple of more beers. Basically tried every brothers beer on the menu. Huge seating, dining, sprawling areas. By the end of the afternoon the whole lawn was full of people, babies and dogs. Did try the food on another occasion, few options, mostly sandwiches and some sides. Food was very reasonably priced but portions we're tiny. They have started a good deal for Beer+Sandwich+Side for $20. Tater tots we're the best. Do not order the Mac & cheese.Overall love coming to this place. Always got a happy vibe and decent beer.
Headed to this place with some friends and was so delighted to get to bring my doggo. The bar is set up so that each group feels like they have the place to themselves and yet there is so much room. The bartender even brought over a little treat for my little schnauzer. It was a really wonderful time. Parking is a bit pesky but with some patience is not really an issue. Check this place out for sure!
