Great hotel for the price. We had a riverside room, pretty view, comfy bed & pillows and it was super clean. Staff were lovely and helpful. Thought the valet parking was quite reasonable. Overall very happy & had a nice stay. Location is fantastic - short stroll to all the bars & cafes and a quick and cheap uber to Hamilton Stadium.
Highly recommend! Awesome hotel staff, very classy rooms and 'Breakfast' everydayDelicious! 5+ Stars. Our Room was very clean and tidy. Everything was convenient and within walking distance. I even met a famous New Zealander while I was there. Me and my partner also appreciated the cross culturalism between Pakeha and Maori cultures.Especially your Te Reo Maori clock hanging on your wall at the front desk. Awesome demonstration of what two cultures could look like working together. In conclusion, Expect 1st class service Ibis Hamilton Tainui, Remember to include breakfast with your stay, and Ibis is better than Noveltel. Thankyou and hope to be back very soon.
The staff attitude and manner was exceptional. There is a good team vibe. Nice balcony among the trees off the restaurant.Rooms: 4/5
Friendly staff, rooms are what you expect as advertised we stayed in King room with city view. Valet was hectic we sat in our cars for a little while before someone eventually came out to start moving the line along. Double checked our check in fee with woman at counter to be sure it included what we paid for which was confirmed though her and what looked like her supervisor/senior colleague room, late check out and one breakfast. On check out was mistakenly paid out by a male staff which has been rectified though they are now telling us we are in owing for what we've already paid for they have been sent receipts and they say it was for two breakfasts but we only booked one. Second time staff have messed up pricing with us in a month. Would recommend booking and paying for what you want in advance online. Pillows are uncomfortable to sleep on and are all one size. Ordered room service from late hours menu paid $22 for dry nachos as they forgot sour cream. Toasties are nice/as you would expect but for $8 both were overpriced. Bathroom floor drain smelt like sewage sometimes. Because we booked late check out we let them know we intend on leaving by 4:30pm. We slept around 2pm but were woken to staff knocking on our door to service it though we were late check out and they should have known. The cleaner was nice about it. Again friendly staff but poor communication, not best service. Not going back there anytime soon.
The ladies at the reception Amanda and Rebecca were super friendly and provided exceptional service. This enhanced the whole customer experience taking it to another level. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and looking forward to coming back again. Walkability: Very convenient
We booked this hotel the afternoon we arrived and staff were very professional and accommodating. We stayed in the $199 room with a pretty good river view and were pleased with the cleanliness of it. It had just recently been remodelled so was lovely and fresh. Great walking distance to the Centre place and town. Downside was paying for parking at $32 a night and you can only access your vehicle if you forgot something in the car by asking for the valet to bring it up. Overall great stay.
Nice room. Very clean. Love the breakfast buffet. Parking is first in first serve, so we had to park in the park by the casino.Rooms: 5/5
Such a beautiful place to stay. Room service could have been better. Our highlight was having pre-dinner drinks on the balcony overlooking the Waikato River. Rooms: Compact, not much space for suitcases Walkability: Central city, handy to all amenities. Right next to the river Noteworthy details: The view from the dining and lounge area is superb. The trees and the Waikato River are gorgeous. There is a bit of road noise from the nearby bridge but that's because it's a road and train bridge which is a plus for train enthusiasts
