Huia Beach Store & Cafe

Alfred's Huia Store is a great spot for a delicious meal near the beach. Their Snapper is fresh and cooked perfectly. The Oreo cookie is a perfect dessert, and their coffee is great to pair with it. The Butter Chicken pie is flavourful and satisfying, It can be hard to find a good Butter Chicken pie these days, and I highly recommend it. Overall, a cozy and welcoming spot with plenty of options to choose from, and a lot of local history on their walls photos. A great way to end the day after a long hike at one of the many nearby walks.

First and most definitely not last visit yesterday with a couple of mates, and wish we stayed longer so I could look at all the awesome pictures and items they have around the shop, so special and funky! BEST pie I've had probably ever steak & mushroom, had a lovely wee yarn with Michelle too and bought some sick earrings. Thank you guys, hope the summer is great for yous, looking forward to coming back :

Food was okay but nothing special. Was very surprised after spending close to $60 for a meal for two only to be served our meals in cardboard boxes with wooden cutlery that couldn’t cut through anything. I guess at least it wasn’t plastic. Disappointed and won’t return. This used to be a great place once.

Flat white was good, but overall food was boring. For such a lovely place with its own history it's shame. Simple food can be done with love but here it's just a simple food....

The crispiest tastiest fish, with some of the best chips I've ever had. Nestled between two chunky bits of bread, with sauce. Absolute perfection Dietary restrictions: Vegan options available

Super good in every way: top service and friendly staff, huge & delicious burgers, curly fries were perfect. Anyway, it's not just the best food in Huia, it's the best food in the West! Go there.Food: 5/5

One of Auckland's real gems. Great cosy interiors, lovely outdoor area. Fantastic food and friendly service. Always make sure to pop in here on any day trips out this way.

Great little store for great food, had their Carmel slice and was definitely the most delicious Carmel slice I have had. Next visit will try the lemon meringue pie.Food: 5/5

My family and I went to the Huia cafe and we were pleasantly surprised with the amazing food and reasonable prices! I absolutely recommend going to this cafe, especially considering the great views. Extra thanks to Chef Levi who made the best burgers my family and I have ever had!
