Howick Motor Lodge

Well furnished rooms with everything that we needed. Set up had 2 single beds at the top of a steep staircase but also had a fold out bed downstairs which was great for our younger children. Great stay, thank you!

Stayed here because was best location for where we needed to go. Is very tired, with old fittings. Apart from lose plugs, broken switches, the cleanliness of the bathroom was poor. After first night, the room got half service with 2 of 3 beds made, shower has mold on, dishes werent done and consumables were not replenished. After complaining twice mold was cleaned from shower. After 3rd night, i asked for sheets on queen bed to be changed and only one of us was staying. Once again tge upstairs beds were nit made. This place is advertised as luxery. Need bathroom fit out.

Although the motel isn't new, our room was spacious, well set up and equipped, and well maintained. Simple but very comfortable but clean.

Our stay was pleasant, only complaint we had was minor, in that it would have been nice if the room we booked had have been opened up to air out prior to our arrival. It was extremely warm in the room and while there IS air-con, being a two story room, the upper level never cooled down until early hours of the morning. Aside from that, the room was clean and tidy, the motel managers were very accommodating in allowing us a 2nd parking space as we were in Auckland to purchase a new vehicle. We would be more than happy to stay there again!

Stayed here with my family, room was ok. A little rough around the edges. Good location. Staff member good but not talkative. Kids loved the fish pond. Some bug issues with the bathroom. Overall, a pleasant stay.
