Howick Motor Lodge

We stayed 2 nights in a family unit. Great price considering it was the weekend. Nich was welcoming and friendly, happily assisting us with our needs during our stay. We really appreciated being allowed to check in quite early at such late notice, as well as receiving a late checkout to suit our schedule and the needs of our baby.nnThe room was very basic but noticeably clean and tidy, which was great. The rooms are quite cold, but it was good to have a heat pump, and the staff were happy to provide us with an extra heater when we requested one.nnWe can’t really fault this place. One thing to note is that the bathroom is upstairs, which could make it tricky for anyone who has difficulty with stairs. My wife found this challenging during the night as she is pregnant.nnOverall, this is a good, budget-friendly place to stay that we would happily recommend to anyone. Considering this property was used for emergency housing in the past, the owners have done a great job keeping it well maintained and in good condition.

Location perfect for us and our all based family. Rooms clean with a private outdoor area. Beds comfortable. It's great for the price. We left our phone there during to a middle of night checkout we couldn't get back in. They sorted with our daughter to pick up and send. We will be back when in Akl again.

We stayed just one night, very comfortable and an easy walk to New World for supplies.

Booked the family apartment for 1 night. Double bed downstairs, 2 singles for the kids upstairs. Beds were comfy and we all had a great sleep.nApartment was clean and fully stocked when we arrived around 2:30pm.nThe person at the front desk was quick, friendly and helpful.nThe kids enjoyed the pool it is a bit small but was perfect because we were the only family there at the time we used it. There isn't anything else there for the kids to do but that didn't bother us.nI kept my expectations low because of the other google reviews so I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

I think some of the reviews are a bit unfair, honestly. The motel isn't pretending to be something it isn't. The price is exceptional value for money for in Auckland. The room was well equipped with a double bed and two singles and all the kitchen utensils and appliances you could need. The bathroom was clean with a good shower.nThe swimming pool was nice to have but our three year old had a sniffle so we decided not to use it, my only feedback would be the pool could be cleaner considering it's the middle of summer but still not enough for an issue to mark them down.
