Hotel Armitage & Conference Centre

The room was okay, overpriced for the standard I feel, in excess of $360. I think it has been recently renovated. There is no extraction system in the bathrooms, so it very quickly becomes a steam room. The beds are firm, but I did sleep ok. Food is good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Was noisy in the evening but the hotel was full of teenage girls who were staying for the AIMS Games. Very good location.

My wife and l have just enjoyed a 2 night stay at the Armitage and once again found it to be excellent accommodation. We have used the hotel regularly over the last 30years and are pleased that the recent upgrade has greatly improved the experience. Friendly staff, great food and excellent facilities.

We have stayed here many times and as we had a special occasion to celebrate decided to do so again. We did not book through a website , just called in off the street. Before we booked in we wanted to know if 1, there was a vacancy and 2, if the restaurant was open. We were told yes to both. So we paid for 2 nights as this gave us a discount. We were given no info about the hotel but card with a QR code on it and told to check that for info. We are pensioners and don't use QR. Came down for dinner about 6 and were given a menu by the waitstaff but it was a room service menu only. We thought the restaurant was open and told yes, by the nice young man, but only for room service menu.nAs this ruined our night out we tried to check out the next day but there would be no refund for the $175 for the second night. We were told we should have looked at the posters on the walls around the hotel to see what was available. We were told that as we had booked through the website and also prepaid the accommodation it was non refundable. All lies.nSo will never stay there again.

I am delighted to have engaged in a breakfast involving 25 guests this morning. The atmosphere of the refurbished restaurant is excellent extremely airy and comfortable The range of food was delightful all beautifully cooked and presented in a very professional manner. The staff were very attentive but not intrusive A credit to you all and your management team I have received a lot of complements from all who attended Arataki Coastal Friendship Club

I don’t know why there’s a lot of negative comments… The service was wonderful and managers were all so kind. Room was really cozy and comfortable. Nothing dirty. I also enjoyed coffee and teas in my room. Highly recommended!
