Hotel Armitage & Conference Centre

Review posted from partner’s account Do not stay here. I was recently placed here for work and it was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. They took almost an hour to find my booking and their customer service was horrendous. The rooms were average and they threatened to remove my belongings as they couldn’t find the extended booking, which there was clear evidence for. They do not care about people and are a money grabbing hotel. They hiked the prices and their receptionist cannot take feedback, and instead wanted to argue that she just doesn’t know any better. Do not stay here. Do not listen to their pathetic response or reasons and don’t waste your time.

In the 25 years I've lived in New Zealand, I've never experienced hotel service like yesterday. When I requested a room change because the room was a little uncomfortable, the hotel manager was happy to accommodate me. They replaced our room and also split the single bad and adjusted it to the twin bed. All the staff were friendly, the staff serving breakfast in the restaurant were very friendly, and the food was delicious. Also, when I slept at the hotel last night, it was so comfortable and quiet. Thank you to all the hotel staff.

We spend one night at this place as a part of EventsHub road tour across New Zealand. The hotel was good for its price. The reception specialist explained everything nice and clear, so, we had no concerns during our stay. If you are going to book a rood there, it is cheaper to add a breakfast for the next morning before 10pm, we didn't know this.

Our Tauranga Mini Owners Club function at Hotel Armitage was outstanding. Jeffrey and his team were incredibly accommodating, with excellent attention to detail including the room setup and decorations, even handling last-minute requests with ease. The food and atmosphere were perfect, making it the best Club Christmas party we’ve attended. We look forward to working with the hotel again in the future!

Good location. Double bed is just two single beds put together: super uncomfy. There for 3 nights and our room didn’t get serviced 2/3 days. Other than the location pretty poor.
