Hotel Armitage & Conference Centre

We have stayed here many times and as we had a special occasion to celebrate decided to do so again. We did not book through a website , just called in off the street. Before we booked in we wanted to know if 1, there was a vacancy and 2, if the restaurant was open. We were told yes to both. So we paid for 2 nights as this gave us a discount. We were given no info about the hotel but card with a QR code on it and told to check that for info. We are pensioners and don't use QR. Came down for dinner about 6 and were given a menu by the waitstaff but it was a room service menu only. We thought the restaurant was open and told yes, by the nice young man, but only for room service menu.nAs this ruined our night out we tried to check out the next day but there would be no refund for the $175 for the second night. We were told we should have looked at the posters on the walls around the hotel to see what was available. We were told that as we had booked through the website and also prepaid the accommodation it was non refundable. All lies.nSo will never stay there again.

I recently hosted an event at Hotel Armitage, and I cannot speak highly enough of the incredible experience provided by Yasmin, Roxanne, and Jeffrey. From the initial email communication to the moment we arrived, they exuded professionalism and warmth, putting us at ease and ensuring every detail was taken care of.nnTheir attention to detail was outstanding, and they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, particularly with dietary requirements for the buffet, which was absolutely fantastic. The variety and quality of the food exceeded our expectations, and their willingness to cater to specific needs was greatly appreciated by all attendees.nnThe location of the venue was also fantastic - lots of parking and they went out of their way to accommodate our preferred setup.nnOverall, I would wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Armitage to anyone looking for a top-notch conference experience. The combination of exceptional staff and service, delicious catering, and great location make it a standout choice.

1st time here staying. Service as average. Parking was good, location close to town centre and easy walk. Restaurant menu we felt was below average and didn’t even have a steak meal. My business partner said he wouldn’t go back

Very bad communication by frontdesk staff as they give 2 vouchers of $10 for our two rooms to use in the cafe and then later they have charged an extra $20.60 from my card later. I sent them an email and in the email they were trying to return a few $ back and I told them to return it all or leave it. And they didn't reply back. We spend money to book hotel and they don't care about customer service. The Internet was deadly slow in our rooms and we were on a business tour and it was difficult to work on a laptop. They didn't even bother to reply or return the amount. I can share a screenshot of the communication if needed..

My first stay n first time in tauranga was very disappointing!! The rating what people say is not true!nnStaff have very Poor communication. My room was very dirty and I had to use the same towel for days. No one told me I must fill a form in order to get my room cleaned. Like all hotels, our rooms are cleaned automatically.nnI was locked out of my room eventhough I did paid in advance.nnDuring check out time- from 10am I had to wait for a receptionist for 10mins. I had to rush to catch my plane why I so disappointed!!!
