We recently visited to purchase a washing machine, and Michael’s professionalism and dedication to outstanding service left a lasting impression on us.nnMichael took the time to thoroughly explain the various options available, ensuring we felt confident in our choice. Once we decided on the washing machine that best suited our needs, he carefully explained its features so that we could use it straight away once installed.nnOur visit occurred just before Christmas, and I asked Michael if it might be worth waiting for the Boxing Day sales to get a better price. He reassured us that if we purchased the machine that day, Harvey Norman’s price guarantee would ensure we could claim any difference if prices dropped during the sales.nnBoxing Day came and went, and amidst the holiday busyness, I didn’t have a chance to check prices or return to the store. To our surprise and delight, Michael personally called us the following day. He informed us that he had already checked the Boxing Day prices, completed the paperwork on our behalf, and that we could visit the store to receive the price difference.nnThis level of service truly brought back the meaning of proper customer care. We had a wonderful experience with Zeek from Harvey Norman Lower Hutt, Wellington. Zeek assisted us with purchasing appliances for our new kitchen. We appreciated his professionalism and his patience with us. He's very knowledgble on appliances and his communication was excellent. Absolutely unacceptable. I bought two bed frames — same brand, same item number — on two different occasions from Lower Hutt store. Shockingly, the quality between the two is completely different. The second one, which was a shop display, is far superior in material, finish, and even color. The first one I received feels cheap and badly made. Clearly, what they show and what they sell are not the same. Total bait-and-switch.nWhen called to raise my concerns, the other person was dismissive. I would warn others to be very careful.
Good experience and bad experience from Lower Hutt store I got all the furniture in 2022, not too long eithernnFirst bad thing: I received the TV unit and coffee table, it cost over $4100 and the coffee table started coming loose and the wood started coming out, same problem with the entertainment unit., And I thought it was under 5 years warranty but when I called the store they said it was only under two years warranty.nnSame problem with sofa, I got such an expensive sofa that it got marks on it and I tried to contact the staff for a year but got no reply but then I decided to call the manager and at that time manager had changed but I tell you the truth the new manager is wonderful person. new manager replaced my entire sofa with good quality one. It was my mistake, I took all the furniture from the old manager, I don't remember his name properly, maybe it was Sunil., But the new manager is very nice, I hope he can fix my table and entertainment unit. They even stopped selling that product, I think because of poor quality, the old manager gave me a wrong commitment.nnNow my mattress is also with the company that is investigating why the springs are coming out and my mattress is worth $8000nnFor new managers of both departments they both are good. But still I spend money on my furniture so I again don't trust the quality.
