Hansan Vietnamese Restaurant

Soooo delicious. Certainly top 3 dumplings I've ever had in the life. The staff were a sweet vibe, food was bang on yum! Highly recommend. She's a contender!

Friendly staff, spacious seating, nothing too fancy! We add here for the food! We both went for the House special Bun Bo Hue. It was very authentic, served with round rice noodles and a variety of pork cuts. Complex broth for a western palate, not too spicy I think serving size was enough for me but can’t imagine it going far for diners with a deeper stomach! On the pricier side too $21 but well worth the experience.

“VERY SMALL IN PORTION & PRICEY” First time in the Wairau restaurant. We always go to Hansan New Lynn every time we wanted Vietnamese and loved that they have a branch closer to home.We ordered the same thing we do all the time at the New Lynn location, besides the spring rolls the dishes were very small in portion and pricey. Taste is still great and staff was friendly. Ordered - 1. Prawn Rice Noodle Soup 2. Spring roll on Vermicelli noodle 3. Fried Spring rolls 4. Chicken with Lemongrass

Excellent food and service! This branch also serves alcohol. Love the food here, we usually go for summer roll, spring roll, beef curry with rice, pork & prawn pancake or some vermicelli dish, coconut or jackfruit shake, pearl milk tea and occasionally chuck a banana sago into the mix. Perfection!!!

Small portions, $8.3 for two very skinny spring rolls and a piece of lettuce.

GO TO NORTHWEST HANSAN INSTEAD!! Didn’t have rice noodle which was a bummer but the rice was soggy... Just go to the Northwest Hansan honestly it’s much better as far as food quality. Edit: 2 years later the beef skewers and spring rolls have shrunk half in size.

My wife and I have been coming here for years & is one of her favourite places to eat. Great food, very quick service and friendly staff. Some people in comments below sound a little fussy to me

It is a busy place. It's probably because of having a lot of customers but orders take a while to be served. We were famished by the time our orders were served. The pictures on the menu do not match the actual dish served. We were too hungry to question everything that we just ate what we were served. Price was just a tad more than what I would have expected but since the food was delicious, I suppose it's fairly reasonable. Parking: There are a number of restaurants in the area and not enough parking. Best not to go at peak hours.

Extremely average food, if your after quick takeaways I guess this place would work.

Very disappointed. The food I ordered was very bland, too oily, bad plating, and the side sauces that you add into your noodle soup to adjust taste was way too watery. Will not recommend this restaurant, and will not be back again.
