Glen Eden Playhouse Theatre

Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The little bar/refreshment set up is nice. It's a smaller theatre, but it gives a cosy feel. The theatre represents local history from the 1930s, but it does look somewhat tired, and can do with bit of a make over. Regardless, the productions on offer are awesome! A lot of hard work goes into each show, and it's thoroughly enjoyable. This time I saw "Black Adder.. in love" and it was great!

We enjoyed the musical show at the theatre. Wonderful stage design, beautiful costumes and professional castings. Will definitely be back!

In an age where theatres are slowly being converted into 'anything else', to be able to sink into the seats and watch real human beings perform for you is an experience that's just not replicable via tv, movies or netflix. Even if the play you choose to watch isn't great- it's still worth grabbing the family and taking it all in, cos one day you won't be able to!

Went to 'The Waverider' with a school, absolutely marvellous, the kids were spellbound, congratulations.

It had been a long time since I'd been to the Playhouse Theatre and I'd forgotten how small it is inside. This makes performances really quite intimate and there's a nice atmosphere once you get past the somewhat musty smell. Parking can be a bit problematic if you're not 'in the know' but this place is well worth checking out for its pure quaintness and some gems of acting talent.

The theatre is lovely to go to. The seats are comfortable and the layout makes it easy to move about. Not much range in terms of food and drink during intermission but there is something to suit everyone.

Lovely cozy and very cute theatre. Staff are friendly and it has a historic aspect to it.
