The heritage site is fantastic. The kids loved looking at all the old buildings and how things used to be. The tram ride was really neat also. We spent at least 2 hours here taking everything in.
Absolutely loved the whole place, and will come again. The tram ride is fantastic and wish we still had this sort of transport. Thanks heaps for a fantastic afternoon out as a family.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure

Lovely place to visit! They have plenty items on display and sites to visit. We came on a Friday noon and there weren’t a lot of people at the park. Unfortunately, the post office was closed so I couldn’t send postcards with their special stamps.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Spend 3hrs with the family. So much to see. Nice little cafe. Friendly staff. $13.50 for adults and free for under 5s. Recommend
Ferrymead Radio Museum has amazing displays, housed in a purpose built building. The radio station, which has two studios, broadcasts from Friday through Monday. It holds a huge selection of records and they may also be played upon request. A splendid enterprise indeed run by very talented volunteers.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Good place if you want to reminisce the old days. Their is a small playground and garden. You can ride in the train if they operate the time you will visit. It’s a good place for walking around and explore the place.Visited onWeekday
A very interesting place to visit. We took our grandson Dane who thought a lot of things we described that we had used were so funny. Congratulations to the people who keep this Heritage Park ticking over and saving things that would have disappeared. We had a heap of laughs with the distorted mirrors. Recommend a tram ride. Richard was most informative about the tram and the Park.
Attended Saturday night market for the first time. The local Jowett club had a few cars on display. Steam train and cable car running and many exhibits open. Lots of food trucks to choose from for the hungry public and a mix of stall holders selling a variety of goods. Lots of people about and plenty of kids which of course it's all about. ... too learn of a different era in a hands on view. Nice night until the cold sea wind crept in but one cant hold it against mother nature. At least it wasn't raining. I will reattend in the summer to get a different feel of things.
It is best museum I have seen in New Zealand. Lots of vintage vehicles and devices. Nice rides and friendly staff.
