The home of entertainment in Christchurch, Addington Raceway concentrates on harness racing, events, functions, venue management and property development.

Story

Addington Raceway is the home of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club, Spectators Bar and Bistro, the Christchurch Casino NZ Trotting Cup and one of Christchurch's leading event & conference centres.

From school balls, to meetings, to weddings, trade shows and and corporate conferences our Events Centre covers it all.

We host free to attend Harness Racing Meetings every week and on the second Tuesday in November we also play host to New Zealand's biggest race day, Christchurch Casino New Zealand Trotting Cup Day. With over 25,000 people on course this is a social event not to be missed.

Great place to go watch a concert
The New Zealand Metropolitan Racing Club and the Addington Events Centre are really superb venues. Horse racing, greyhound racing and boxing to a name a rew events. Facilities can be hired for weddings, business functions and special events. The staff are really quite experienced at managing any event and do a great job behind the scenes ensuring all runs smoothly. Car parking is usually good but it can fill up quickly especially if there is several major events on at any one time.
Great food good company fantastic entertainment excellent service a great night out
Aircon makes sitting in members area cold and unpleasant, when staff asked to turn it down the comment was 'they were hot', so air con left on, we left and went home early. Not a good look!! We were NOT the only ones to comment on it being cold
Fantastic Day at Addington. In the Blossom Lady lounge on level 3. Great food and service! Eight of us had a table and had a brilliant day! Cheers

I wouldn't go to anything again organized by Classic Events they couldn't organize a Pissup in a Brewery.
Good service, good clean venue.
Work xmas function at twiggers. Atmosphere not bad, live band and buffet dinner. Good variety and quality foods. Drinks were terrible, had to question if the gin tonic had either ingredients, drink replacement was as terrible as first. Pretty sure they were watering down everything, even the tonic. Race night though so added entertainment.
Good place to enjoy your Friday evening watching a few races
