Story

At the beach, in the city - Fitzroy Beach Holiday Park is sited in a beautiful tranquil and sheltered setting adjoining New Plymouth’s award-winning Coastal Walkway. Fitzroy Beach offers great views and sunsets. It has an excellent surfing break, as well as a patrolled section for swimmers during summer. Guests enjoy a 5 min walk to Fitzroy village, a charming collection of speciality shops and everyday necessities or a 5 min drive to the centre of New Plymouth City.
New owners/managers, John and Jan Crawford carried out a major upgrade. This upgrade included a new communal kitchen, upgraded bathrooms, and laundry facilities. Also for convenience, outdoor sand showers, recycling stations and a paved BBQ area. The upgrade led to Fitzroy Beach Holiday Park being a finalist in the National Holiday Park awards, 2015.
New cabins with a European theme were added, all cabins have kitchenettes and ensuite facilities. The cabins have their own semi private outdoor space with chairs provided for relaxing on the decks. At the end of a fun filled day you will really appreciate the super comfy queen sized beds.
For campers there are over 100 sites (both powered and non-powered), many with spectacular views past New Plymouth city to the Sugar Loaf Marine Reserve Islands and Tasman Sea.
